Please don't bother reading if you haven't or don't dl games

trust me I would buy them if I could but I'm broke as a joke and bored as hell.
I have one 360 at my house and my bf doesn't like to share...I sold my ps2 and my game boy sp to buy a 360 off his friend but before I could it red ringed and it is no longer under warranty...So until I can save up a little more to get one for myself, I have to wait my turn which can be a pretty long time. I'm currently playing Tomb raider underworld but when he's on the 360 I don't have shit to do but sit on the computer. So I figured why not dl some old tomb raider games for the time being...
I'm having a hard time trying to get the original Tomb raider game for pc. I need an iso because when I tried to dl it, it needed the disk. I've been googling forever now and I just want to play! I would've just got a ps emmulator because I already have a sega and nintendo one, but the ps emmulator takes forever and you have to dl a shit ton of junk and it doesn't even work half the time. And, since tomb raider games are all also on pc I figured I'd go that route. So if any one has any useful suggestions, hit me.

Older games (eg, pc games that wont exceed half your limit to download) can be difficult to find active download links/torrents for in all honesty, and *some* of the time if you're successful with getting it, it won't work, or will require a patch that's hard to find or no longer available.
Good thing is though, ebay is real cheap for "old" pc games.

No money at all? :

As for ps1 emulation, some guys here probably know something about it...although I've been told n64 emulation is all good and encountered nothing but poor performance.

So, I just go with arcade stuff, 8-bit, or 16-bit emulation.
Small downloads, way better performance, LOTS of it around.
Check out http://www.get-your-rom.com/ for lots of those.
or if you wanna see the games you can get, here: http://www.get-your-rom.com/roms.php
Lots of stuff there, the huge majority has been in great working order.
Haven't yet figured out Sega cd though...

isohunt + bittorrent = free anything.

But 90% of what you find will be illegal as hell, so keep that inmind. People rarely get busted anymore, but it does happen.

I finally got tomb raider two but the first one is hard to find.. plus I would have to dl a separate sound card thing. I'm content for now...but thank you guys :D
I'm slowly learning. My bf knows all of this stuff but never wants to show me how to do it.

no offense but he sounds like an ass. Anything I know that my wife wants to know i will show her. them ore she knows, the less I have to do ;)

most guys I've known like that have inadequacy issues and think if they share their knowledge they either lose or are somehow diminished by it.

Well I can't help you with finding Tomb Raider...

But!!

As Phalanx already pointed out, you can get some pretty awesome oldschool emulators and roms that work great. Myself, I love using the SNES9X Super Nintendo Emulator. If you go to VimmsLair.net there's a great selection of SNES roms to play.

In fact, Vimm's Lair has NES, SNES, Genesis and N64 roms/emulators. But I wouldn't recommend the N64 emulator... as again pointed out by Phalanx, it's crap. The frames always freeze on me.

You said you're kind of slow learning so I don't know how you'd go with Dosbox... it's pretty good though once you can run it. If you go to Abandonia.com you can download old DOS games and run them using Dosbox.

All of the games on Abandonia that are available for download are 100% free and legal to download, as far as I know... so you don't have to worry about stealing. Heh heh. :)

I got Blood from Abandonia last night and I've been having a good old time blowing the heads off zombies then kicking them about.
