I've got to start watching some Christmas horro, I've hardly seen any movies in the last month... It has probably been my slowest month of the year movie wise..
I'll try and think of some more Christmas horror to share.

Right on, I was going to start a thread just like this!
What about the Tales From the Crypt story? It's in the original movie and the 1st season of the show remade it.

You know, Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" has such strong horrific elements--hey, it's a real ghost story!-- that it should really be on the list somewheres. When I was a young lad, the horror elements were what attracted me to it, and they were what kept me coming back to the story in its various incarnations. The 1951 version with Alastair Sim is a favorite of many, and it's my personal favorite version.

...as soon as I saw your name in this thread, I could have swore I knew EXACTLY what you were going to say.
Even though it's not horror, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians is utterly fantastic. Watched it at some point near the last two Christmases - it's awful in every way, but so wonderfully entertaining.

Oh yes, yes, yesssssssss. A Christmas Carol, all the way. And I think the older ya get, the more the story means, the more the viewer understands. There's some dark thematic material in there, and the way it wraps up is profoundly spiritual and uplifting.
Santa Claus Conquers The Martians is one of the funniest movies ever made ("Santa Claus has powers that you don't know about!!") and as a matter of fact I was watching it yesterday.

I just watched Christmas Evil. Holy shit! That movie sucked some major balls. Do yourself a favor and don't watch it. It's way beyond 'so bad it's goo' and lands squarely in the 'so bad it just sucks alot' category.

Night of the Comet (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087799/)
If I recall, our story opens shortly after Christmas, though yuletide isn't exactly a central theme...
Fantastic movie, though!

You could almost add It's A Wonderful Life to the list. While not horror it's still one of the best episodes of Twilight Zone I ever saw.:D

I took your recommendation and watched it tonight on netflix (watch it if you have an Xbox, it's on instant play)....freaking hilarious!
I love the bad martian with the mustache.

Yeah, it was pretty horrible. I tried watching it On Demand and actually hung on longer than I thought I would... I kept HOPING it would get better.
But alas.

The 1951 Alastair Sim one is my favorite. I always cry at the end when he's asking his niece for forgiveness.
I also watch Scrooged every year. Bill Murray is the man.

Oddly enough, I watch Christmas Evil every couple of years. It's not "good" by any means, but I enjoy it. The ending it classic.

Nothing is as good as Black Christmas, but yeah....I watched Silent Night Deadly Night part 1 and 2 every year.
Part 2 is the "GARBAGE DAY!" one, which is basically Troll 2 level of badness...so it's really fun to watch them back to back.
Favorite part of part 1 has to be when he goes to see the Grandpa, though. That old coot cracks me up every year.

So what happens in Part 2? Netflix only has the first SN,DN.

It's basically the brother of the killer in the first movie's story. He's in a mental institution and get's interviewed by a doctor about why he's in there.
But they end up recapping like 30-45 minutes worth of part 1's footage, so its barely a movi, but the footage they do add is just classic:

Definitely not a "good" movie, but nonetheless enjoyable. The actor seen above is easily one of the worst actors of all time.

I did enjoy Santa's Slay a bit though. It is a bit lame but funny enough to make up for the cheesy parts.

I agree....oddly enough something about Bill Goldberg as Santa was just enough to make it a fun watch.

I've seen Night of the Bloody Apes several times, and it's one of my all time favorite bad horror films. However- that picture is like nothing in the film I've seen. It's possible it was cut out of the version I saw, but there's no mention of Christmas in the film.
Or have I stupidly fallen for another prank?

I watched Jack Frost 3 days ago. I'm not sure if I've seen the 2nd but I think I did. In the 3nd one, does he kill someone in the bathroom? I think I remember someone in the bathtub and the snowman comes in and kills them...maybe that's from something else or I'm having a brain fart, but I remember seeing that from somewhere.
