Unless they are extremely well behaved (which in today's society, I would be shocked), it's never a good idea.

yup - i have..
i work in a big corner office full of neatly arranged computer hardware (and my personal workspace) and only the technicians are allowed in.
I've brought my son in on PA days where my wife and i still had to work - or when he was too sick to go to school - but ok enough to sit quietly and play a video game/ colour/ read / or watch a movie.
most of the guys come in and visit with him - he loves it when he gets to come to work with his dad

My kids are good usually, today is NOT one of the good days. They are just full of energy:D
For safety reasons , I have not....but one year I brought my video camera to work and filmed "a day at work" for my kids.
they were pretty bored

Without all but one of 'em anyways...heh...
Should I have a kid, which I hope to by 30-32...and I get the job I'd like to at the moment, I'd love to have them along to work, although I'd probably have to organise a "gentle" kind've plan for that day - while I want them to hopefully look up to what I do, there's a whole side of it I'll have to keep from them until they're older.
And add in beer.....
beat ya to it ;)

My mum used to bring me to the Doctors Surgery where she's a receptionist. I can understand why kids tear up the place, it is SOOOO DULL! It would be worse going to work with my Dad. He only a cleaning business and I'd be in the van all day!

bwahahahaha - Are you serious?
...
I don't have kids, but I'm TOTALLY a mother hen when it comes to my coworkers bringing in their babies.
