Spector's solo novel sucked, but back in the day, these guys rocked. Any fans?

I'll never forget THE SCREAM. What a novel . . . back in the day I must have read that one 8 or 9 times . . . .

Scream blew me away, too. I also read it many times back in the day. I had never read anything like that before (extreme horror, splatter punk, whatever you want to call it). I really liked Light at the End and The Clean-up, too. I even ordered the soundtrack to The Bridge.

I don't think I ever read THE CLEAN-UP -- always wanted to, but never could find it around here for some reason. Another one I always thought sounded great but I never could find was their werewolf novel, ANIMALS. Was that cool?
I was disappointed with the soundtrack to THE BRIDGE. The creepy "score" parts of it were perfect, but the rock songs with vocals were mediocre to lame (IMHO).
Still, it's worth having just as a sort of "collector's item." Looking forward to hearing what you think of it . . . .

I too thought the rockin' Bridge songs on the soundtrack were kinda lame. Big Dumb Bastard isn't without its charm, though.
I didn't care much for Animals. Guy meets highly erotic woman who turns out to be a werewolf and is himself transormed. Meets a down-to-earth girl who's also a werewolf and who I assume is supposed to represent the tree-loving side of animal nature (that's always fun to read about in a horror novel; hippy werewolves). He's also being hunted by a biker-type lycanthrope who is the first girl's ex. Whew. Only read it once and that was way back when it was originally released.
I finally found their Fright Night novelization in a used book store. Damn, was I happy. Their short story anthology, Deadlines, was pretty cool, too.
