As the title says...
Which flick (out of the thousands you have watched in your life till now) would be your choice for the perfect 10/10 rating? Think carefully on these terms - quality, direction, script, performances, and entertainment.
You don't have to agree with a set audience with your choice(s), or let your opinion be governed by popularity. Be frank, and put them forth.
Mine would be (genrewise) -

War - Platoon,

I'm honestly really unfamiliar with the genre. I suppose if Breakfast at Tiffanys is considered romance, then I'd cast my vote for it.

About a year ago I saw Stanley Kubrick's Barry Lyndon. This may be the closest thing to cinematic perfection I have ever seen. I've probably seen it five times since then, and I can't find a flaw in it! 10/10 indeed.

One-of-a-kind classic, for sure. One of the most incredible films cinematography-wise, too. It was all shot using natural light and candlelight, plus they used a couple of super-fast lenses used by NASA, with infinite depth of field. Kubrick was an amazing lunatic.

I'm glad to see some fans of Barry Lyndon. It got mixed reviews on release. I saw it in a cinerama theater and it was as breathtaking as 2001. Patrick Magee is mesmerizing and the score by The Chieftans is spectacular.
