The first film of Sixth Sense director M. Night Shyamalan's new deal with Media Rights Capital -- which sees him come up with new horror ideas and then pass them on to others -- has been announced today on Variety.
Quarantine helmer John Erick Dowdle and his brother Drew have been hired for the first project Devil, a supernatural thriller dreamt up by Shyamalan and written for the screen by 30 Days of Night scribe Brian Nelson.
No plot details have been released, but apparently the PG-13 film will begin production next year. Besides the director, Shyamalan will also choose other creative talent involved and have full artistic control.
Besides this deal, the director is also busy planning The Last Airbender for Paramount and Nickelodeon.
