Which horror movies have girls in them? Ever since those Poltergeists I've thought little girls and horror movies are a perfect match. Not just one small appearance like Jodelle Ferland in They, and not necessarily the lead role either, but a fair amount of screen time throughout the movie. Any movies. New, old, from any country, as long as it's currently available on region 1 DVD. I know a lot of them of course, but certainly not all.

Was that movie in 2005 or 2006 that Tom Cruise had with Dakota Fanning kinda horror/suspenseful? I can't recall the name, but she's a female and was in one of sorts.

Thanks to everyone who has answered so far! A few of those I hadn't even heard of, and a lot I haven't seen yet.
Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning? That was War of the Worlds. I guess most people have heard of it.

Frankenstein
Frankenstein? I never would have known, although I'm not really familiar with that story.
Which version do you have in mind, or do you mean all of them? It looks like there are about three or four Frankenstein movies.

I'd forgotten about The Bad Seed, but now that you mention it I remember seeing the one from 1956 at some point.:)

1931...it's been a long time since I've seen a movie from that long ago. I hope some place around here has it.:)

To be truthful, I stretched a bit on a few. The girl in Frankenstein is only in one scene. The rest the girl is a major character though.

Thanks for letting me know, although I might watch it anyway. My interest in horror films goes well beyond little girls; that's just one angle I really like, but not always. Watching Tideland nearly made me fall asleep. I'm still not sure what to think of it. I always rent movies first anyway, to make sure I don't end up spending money on a bad movie that I'll only watch once.:)
