Ok, I know I start a lot of these, but:
What parts of what movies made you squirm? Maybe it was something so terribly painful you groaned in agony for the person, or so gross you had to put down your chips. Or, the imagery of the scene was so disturbing it gave you nightmares.
Here are some from my experience.
Robocop. Potential rapist hides behind potential victim. Robocop places a shot through the woman's skirt, blowing the guy's nuts off. I was 11 at the time, at a birthday party, and EVERYONE in the room rolled in agony.
Later in the same movie, when Emile crashes the truck into the toxic waste. Not only did he kill my appetite, i had himscreaming and saying "Help me!" in my head for the next couple of days. Didnt sleep too well either.
last, the scene in clockwork orange where they kill and rape the guys wife in front of him. it took everything in me to stay in the room, but i couldnt watch it.

mm great choices. one of my favorites 'slaughterhouse' has one of the single best squirmy scenes i believe in horror history. the two villains of the film have a girl tied to a slab in a meat cooler. the older baddie holds up a very, very, very sharp boning knife and proceeds to massage aforementioned victim's finger. then we get an ultra-closeup of the finger being finely sliced - not severed - more like a really deep paper cut. it's gruesome. the guy continues to massage the girl's finger while she screams pitifully..
i believe it's 'suspiria' that has that great scene where the girl plunges through a broken window and finds herself entwined in a roomfull of barbed wire. ghastly
'men behind the sun' shows a naked man imprisoned in a pressure chamber as the dial turns. he's shown clutching his ears in obvious agony. eventually, due to the pressure difference between his innards and the room itself, he collapses and swells on the floor until his entrails literally burst from his rectum in a grim collage of various body fluids. a scene that'll stay with me forever

You reminded me of another one. Poor girl in TCM who gets stuck on a meat hook by leatherface and has to hang there and watch while he chops up her boyfreind.

I actually I don't even think that was barbed wire, but a good scene none the less. Day of the Dead made me cringe when one of the soldiers head is ripped off, it's not the vision but the noise he makes as soon as it comes loose. He starts off screaming but right at the end it turned to this very high pitch shrill I'll never forget (that's the best I can explain). Definetly the scene in Last House on the Left, every guy had to be on the floor after watching that.

Definatley the first murder in Suspiria where the girl is hanging and broken glass falling kills another girl may absolute favorite scene in any horror movie. Also the murders in Opera I like the one where the guy is getting stabbed through the hands to try and avoid getting killed while a tied up girl watches unable to close her eyes because there a needles taped to them and she'd fuck up her eyes if she tried. Argento has some of the most brutally shocking murders ever put on film.

Well, this is just off the top of my head, but three parts in Event Horizon.
1) When the kid jumps out the air lock and starts spewing up blood.. Watching that was painful.
2) When what's his name turns around, and has his eyes in his hands.
3) When the crew finally gets the old ship's logs to work, and they watch the crew killing themselves.
I dunno why, but those parts were just.. disgusting.
And for some reason, The new House on Haunted Hill bugged the shit out of me. It was the only movie that's made me sick to my stomach after I was done watching it.
Seeing the rooms smeared with blood, the girl chopped up in the cabinent. Oh, and when the dude enters the spinning chamber and starts flippin out, and seeing crazy shit. And the big vat of blood that the dude almost gets sucked into... Ugh. Oh, and all the nasty looking things in the displays. Like the horses, and people.. Wahh I HATE that fuckin movie.

freddys dead: at the end where maggie throws knifes and shit at freddy, one gets in his hand and he trys to get it out, he turns it around in his hand, the sound was fucking gruesome back then
and off course the last house on the left scene, the whole movie made me kinda sick though, the pissing and raping, but the biting scene (you remember) indeed made me crawl on the floor

Wes was pretty fucked up back in the day. It's odd to think he "softened up" with the NOES movies.
Last House on the left and the Hills Have eyes left a bad taste in my mouth when i saw them.
I agree with the House on Haunted Hill comments. It wasnt a very good movie, but christ it was effective. The parts that freaked me out the worst was when the blonde chick is filming the room, and the nurses and doctors show on the camera, but not in the room, and when she turns around, that THING is standing there. I hate how moves slowly, then moves superfast and is in her face in half a second....

The Ring- Katie's face when she was sitting in the closet. It was very brief, but I was so shocked, and it looked so gross I just sat there..
Scream- I was like 7 or 8 and I saw the part where Tatum was killed by the garage door. Needless to say, I've gotten over it.

I have three:
One inspired by the starter of this thread and concerns Robocop (two scenes here 1: when the policeman who is to be Robocop gets blown away, and 2: when one of the bad guys goes in the acid bath and gets hit by the car).
Two: the Policeman tied to a chair scene in Reservoir Dogs
Three: Ringu ( the Japanese original) and THAT scene, that's all I will say about that in case I ruin it but those who have seen it I hope you will know what I'm saying.

I hated the part in AAWIL coz it was like..seeing James or w/e dead and shit..really grossed me out. I also didnt like the puppetering part in NOES 3 it rather bothered me..but turned me on big time. I enjoy stuff like that. I dunno why. And i didnt really enjoy Hellraiser (the first installment) coz seeing Frank walk around and stuff..bothered me major. My buddy Amy loved it tho. Shes as sick with the whole gorey turning on thing as i am. My boyfriend is amused by it.

I'm a pretty hardened gorehound, but the whole of Guinea Pig: Flowers of Flesh and Blood was a bit hard to watch.
And, of course, that poor acid doused bastard in Robocop. I was young when I first saw the movie and that was the first truly gross thing I ever saw on film. It definitely made me a bit ill (yet fascinated me at the same time - I think my inner gore hound was born that day).
It's pretty hard to gross me out or make me sick but occular trauma (such as Fulci's good ol' splinter in the eye) will almost always make me cringe.
Creepy and disturbing is another story. THE scene in Ringu, that creepy kid in Phenomena, and the girls' discovery of that dead body in Mulholland Drive are all scenes (among others) that have haunted me days after I saw the movie.

Yeah you can just feel that scalpel in the ankle in Pet Semetary. Still makes me wince. And the shooting of Murphy in the uncut version of Robocop is nasty. Suffocation, such as child's play 2, but pretty much anything like this gets me
that chicks leg in H20 (the dumbwaiter scene)

The Cell- When the dude cranking the insides out of that other person. Just sickening.
Final Destination 2- When that man is burning and stuck in his car. Ick.
Don't Look Now- The last couple of minutes when you actual figure out what the hell is going on and see the result. Oh, that always makes me feel queasy.
House on Haunted Hill bothers me, too. The noises are disturbing.
Eye See You- Not really a horror, but I hate to see anyone get hurt in the eye. That really bothers me!

Cabin fever sucked but the leg shaving scene knocked me sick.
In Ichi the killer when he cuts his tounge off and that girl gets her assets sliced
in nightmare on elm street when the girl is going round the bedroom walls getting sliced all over the place
in the thing when they are doing the blood test bit, very tense
in friday the 13th 4 when jason gets the blade between his fingers - ewww
finally, in audition - the bit where you find out whats in that bag in the creepy chicks room and the whole of the last 10 minuets

I have a couple
- I Spit on your grave- The penis cutting off scene. Im even a girl and the noises he makes, and his facial expressions...*shivers* Its just wrong.
-Wrong Turn- The Barbed Wire kill.
-Cabin Fever- The leg shaving incedent. You knew what was happening, and she didnt realize it for a while. It just made me squirm in my seat and yell at the screen.
-Pet sematary- Any scene with Zelda. Ick. Also when Rachel walks in at the end, and Louis kisses her. I almost gagged at that one.
-Red Dragon- When the blind girl is staning there and he "shoots" himself, she just hears it and the blood hits her face.

Does it make me a bad person because the rape scenes in ISOYG didnt disturb me?
Now that I think of it...rape scenes in general dont disturb me. Does that make me less of a girl?

In Ichi the Killer, the blonde guy (I can't think of his name) takes out his lip rings before he gets into a fight and then the other guy punches him in the mouth. Instead of hurting him, his hand winds up actually in the blonde guy's mouth with his hand skinned to the bone. It was one of the more painful scenes that I could think of off the top of my head.

No. it makes you unusual, btu that isnt necesarrily a bad thing. My fiance is sometimes worried that siomething isnt right with her because she is fascinated with painful, gory scenes in movies, especially ones in more "realistic" movies like hannibal.
I told her, considering the fact that she one day wants to work homicide as a cop, that is a good thing. A certain amount of detachment is a good thing. Hell, it may even help you with a future career.

Hmm. lots of movies disturb me..not for the gross out effect ,so much.. as much as for just pure shock value..one of these is the Excorcist...lots of scenes actually..but.some of the new footage..like.where she's coming downstairs.walking backwards on her hands and feet somehow is just so..unnatural.. and weird...other movies that shock and freak me out..are the Day of the Dead.the scene where the soldier is..well. ripped apart.is the best way to put it.you can see his face..his mouth locked in the agonized and pain filled dying scream..and the sounds...damn..gives me nightmares still...other movies..with various scenes that stick out in my mind.. are, scenes from Evil Dead ..the death of the possessed woman..with the knife..or whatever it is .stabbed in the back.. many Argento movies..also.. The Gates of Hell.. some disturbing shit there..i guess a lot of this does involve a a lot of gore.. and gross out effect after all..lol...but what really gets me the most.. are scenes that are just so..unnatural..and shocking.. as well as the most agonizing ...as opposed to gory death scenes..many more i could think of..but..really..too many of those to list here..

First scen that disturbed me, I was probably around 10 back then, is in the beginning of F13 Part 2, when that chick gets stab on the side of the head with an ice pick by Jason. The thing about it was that he just pushed it in so slowly, it really freaked me out then.
Recently, in Exorcist 2000, the part of the spider walk was kinda disturbing.

wait. I think maybe someone is talking about the short film written by Salvador Dali called "L'Age D'Or" and was released in 1930. It features many surrealist images (naturally) including a scene where a human eyeball (still in the living person's head) is sliced lengthwise. The scene, and the movie itself, was so reactionary that it caused a riot in the streets of Paris when it was released. And to me, it's still one of the hardest things to watch on film.

I can understand the Day of the Dead scene, just the scream.
The slice in Pet Semetary
The curb scene in America X (or something like that), and the rape scene. Strange as I can watch female rape on TV and feel nothing (being female I think that's odd), but that scene made me feel physically sick
Thats all I can think of now, but I'm sure there will be a lot of others.

When I was about 12 or 13, I saw this Troma movie - Frostbiter: Wrath of the Wendigo. And something about the production values for the film, put me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I didn't jump or anything, though I was shocked, but I was scared to death!!! The whole time.
The part that really disturbed me more than any other, and made me feel a lot of emotions come to think of it, angry and sad too, was in the shack after the hunter cooking the chili gets his hand bitten off. Another hunter, who I seem to remember lying in a cot, also eating chili- just suddenly BURSTS into flames. It's a very intense, agonizing scene. That I thought was very unfair, and I felt cheated in some way, and I was young but I was very upset by that.
Another movie, Sleepwalkers, really disturbed me and made me very sad. The ending, where Alice Krige's character is being attacked by cats. She stands there, and starts snapping cats in half as they jump on her. It reminded me of a VERY painful childhood memory of the death of one of my own cats. But even more, the scene when the cop is killed and I don't remember the scene well, his cat is rubbing up against his body and crying for attention- but the cat doesn't seem to realize his owner is dead. But the film is all the more powerful for including it, I think.

A scene from a 1969 british slasher (yep, thats right 1969!) called horror house ( haunted house of horror)
Frankie Avalon (60's pop star) and his friends hang around at this haunted house getting chopped and diced. at the end Avalon and his girlfriend find out that the killer is this wimpy gay guy with a machete. Avalon is trying to get him to give up, and the killer is crying, and looking down at the floor all shameful, with the machete about to drop from his hand at his side. Avalon steps forward to take it and......WHACK! right up between his legs. The look of suprise and pain as he clutches his bleeding groin left me scarred for life.

Your sig reminded me of another couple of things:
Edward norton with lye on his hand in fight club
Edward norton beating blondie beyond recognition in the same movie. I admit, i kind of enjoyed seeing him beat the guy, but when you sdee him reach up to try and stop him, and he just bats his hand away and keeps beating... damn..
Oh yeah, and when he throws himself into the shelves, and crawls across the floor, and there are pieces of glass buried in his hand and wrist...
That lye scene in fight club makes me squirm just thinking about it, also the scene where he beats Jared Leto into a bloody pulp. Great movie.
I thought of some more...
Anyone seen King of the Ants? There is one scene where this guy is being held captive in a shed, and his captors come in and just beat the shit out of him for the hell of it. It hurts to watch. I reccomend that movie to everyone here, its great.
Freddy Krueger.

Believe it or not: I've yet to see a movie that grossed me out.
