I would have to say Dead Alive, the Evil Dead Trilogy and Demons 1 and 2. (All of these are amongst my favorites.) But I am wondering what other gorefests are out there that I may not have seen.

Dead alive, by far and away. I believe it holds the record.

The custard scene makes me gag just thinking about it.

Insane~ Dead-Alive, I have never seen so much blood in my life!

"Dawn Of The Dead" or "Day Of The Dead", I can't decide, but I think it would be "Day Of The Dead"

It's not a horror movie, but Desperado has alot of blood. People getting shot left and right, blood fliying everywhere. Ahhh, I love that movie.

Anyway, to answer your question, I can't remember. I remember when I saw parts of "Event Horizon" thinking that was the goriest movie I'd ever seen. Now I'm not so sure.

From what I remember, it was pretty fucking gory, though.

Well with horror you could throw lots of titles out there. But with a drama, it could not only be gory, but disturbing. Like In Irreversible (Gaspar Noe), the rape (9 minutes long all on camera), the brutal attack at the fag club, and the overbearing art of the film is just plain disturbing, yet beautiful in it's own way. Then of course there's Salon. Italian, I'm not even sure of the spelling, saw it at a friends house, just absolutely utterly disturbing. Then, allthough most wouldn't say it, Braveheart. It happens so blindingly fast you don't even really have time to register, it's just riduclously gory, plus the animal gore. A step up in Oscar winnining films. But as for unrealistic super fun gore, I'd say Dead Alive.

The Gates of Hell, Dead Alive, and parts of Audition are truly disquieting.

I fuckin love that movie but the claymation effects that they used for the final alien thing king was very gay.

H.G. Well's Blood Feast. It makes the ones which have been mentioned here, look like Pee-Wee Herman's home movies.

Most Blood - Dead Alive, hands down...
Most Desturbing Deaths - Day of the Dead, i love um!
my personal weakness - realistic and self infliction, the van scene from the original chainsaw massacre, and even the straight razor scene from Jason Go's To Hell...odd huh?
