I thought this was a good move for jump scares. I really enjoyed how it made me feel extremely scared to live in the woods lol. Who else liked it? or disliked it?

I want to see it. It looks pretty good. I don't like how they're marketing it as a true story, because only one scene is loosely based on something that happened.

It was ok. Hollywood Horror. If you want good slasher/home invasion, watch the French film Inside.

I really enjoyed it, but then again I'm someone who jumps real easily so most movies like this are fun for me. And I agree with Chronogrl. Inside was great and less typical IMO. Go rent it.

I went in with such low expectations, but was pleasantly surprised. The jump scares weren't too gratuitous and I definitely turned on the lights as soon as I got home.

Both were real good...kind of on the same wavelength [ home invasion ] both well done as far as production and acting.....but INSIDE packed a much bigger wallop. IMO

*Spoilers*

The suspense for the first bit was amazing, but just past the mid point, the peek-a-boo stuff was getting old. They seemed to be going for a toned-down 'matter-of-fact" feel for the psychos, which was a great idea, but they went all m night shyamalan by the end by making them too blase` about everything.

the truck pulling over and getting the pamphlet from the kids tried WAY too hard to be creepy, and it wasnt. And in the closing scene, the kids looked more like "what a mess" than "holy fuck, three dead people!"

And the closing Liv Tyler scream... gratuitous BOO! moment. made me jump, but annoyed me because ANYONE will scare you if they jump out and scream out of nowhere. its cool in a haunted house, annoying in a movie.

I liked it....Liv Tyler was stellar. The acting saved the movie - IMO.
