Same here. And the Prom Night remake was dull, dull, DULL. Well, at least I thought so.

Anyway, been re watching a lot, going into Halloween. Just watched Fright Night and In the Mouth of Madness over the weekend. Started out with Trick or Treat at the beginning of the month. A movie I still think is a lot of fun, if silly.

Nope, it's in the wrong section! ;)

Seriously though, so far I've only watched a few but I have a list of movies to buy for a party (fun ones, can you believe I don't have Adams Family). So far I've seen Quarantine, Equinox, and Blood Car... not much horror lately I'm afraid.

I loved The Signal, it was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't really expecting much.
I really, really want to see [REC], I just refuse to watch the remake until I see it first.

Are you sure Netflix doesn't have them?

A lot of the ones on my list aren't packaged by themselves. There's a great fifties sci fi collection that has Monolith Monsters and Incredible Shrinking Man, most of the rest are on a 50 Horror movie set and Hangover Square is in the Fox Horror classics box.

[REC], Night of the Living Dead (1990), Nightbreed, The Cell, Demons, Final Destination 2.

Not nearly as good a list as it should be by this point in the month, but I've been busy. This coming week will be filled with horror-y goodness!

no - but i think he can handle Fido ..

just trying to remember how weird it got with the guy who had the young zombie girlfriend :)

a very cool thing about us watching Invaders from Mars now - is that my kid met and got his picture taken with both Karen Black and Tobe Hooper ... that makes it even more special

Where do you guys find these movies?I can't find half of the ones that are mentioned on here.

I just download torrents. Also, you can check out Nabolister.com or watch-movies.net for streaming flicks. I end up buying the DVDs if I know I'll watch the movie more than once.

So I'm having two movie nights, one for everybody (not too gory...) and another for the more hardcore horror fans (anything goes). I think for the first I'm going to have Ghostbusters, Tremors, The Abominable Dr. Phibes, Army of Darkness, and some Halloween cartoons. Afterward the group will leave and some of us will go watch Saw V.

So far this month, I've mostly watched 80's horror movies...but here's the complete rundown, from classics to more obscure stuff.

3. Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives
4. Superstition
5. From Beyond
6. The Howling
7. Silver Bullet
8. The Fog (John Carpenter version, not the recent remake)
9. A Nightmare on Elm Street
10. The Return of The Living Dead
11. Night of the Living Dead (B&W version)
12. Hell Night
13. John Carpenter's The Thing (watched it 3 times so far)
14. Dead-Alive (though I always laugh when I watch it)

Let's see, just ordered Dracula: Prince of Darkness and it should be arriving soon. Have watched a box set of A&E "Haunted Histories" including the excellent "The Haunted History of Halloween"...Dracula with Bela Lugosi...Mark of the Vampire, which I never had seen before! And watched Horror Express and, um, Fangs of the Living Dead yesterday (big faves!)
