For some reason when I'm rocking the baby to sleep...I keep catching myself humming Edelweiss...And the theme song from the Smurfs...However, the Smurfs theme has plagued me for years...I often get caught humming that one :)
I also always catch myself humming, "If I Only Had A Brain" as sung by the Scarecrow in the Wizard Of Oz, at any given moment...Many other people have caught me, too:D
Sheena Easton's Morning train usually gets me in the kitchen, especially when I'm loading the dishwasher...and for some reason, when I'm loading clothes into the washing machine, I always catch myself singing 'Carry On My Wayward Son' by Kansas
Honestly..I am ALWAYS humming or singing SOMETHING...It's so natural for me, I'm usually unaware that I'm doing it until Dustin points it out...And, many times even I don't have a clue what it is, but he usually figures it out and tells me...There have been many instances where I have caught myself, then asked him "Hey, what is this song?"..or "What is this tune from?"
I think he's gotten used to it because now he just has fun guessing what it is that I'm humming/singing...And many of the tunes are SO obscure...It usually goes something like:
Me: *absentmindedly humming or singing something*
Dustin: *Usually surprised*... Why on earth are you singing (or humming) _______?!
Fill in the blank...Cuz, it could be just about anything...It amazes me that I ended up with a guy that can name just about ANY song (he's a music trivia FREAK, I swear), even from random movies, games or shows, considering I so often end up humming or singing them:)
Anyway, all day today I have been humming Akira Yamaoka's 'Room Of Angel', and I haven't played Silent Hill in almost a year (the baby won't let me :D).

So, when you guys get a song stuck in your head, post it here...Maybe we can infect everyone else with it, too...*mwahahahaha*

If you go out in the woods today
You're sure of a big surprise.
If you go out in the woods today
You'd better go in disguise.
For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain, because
Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic.
Picnic time for teddy bears,
The little teddy bears are having a lovely time today.
Watch them, catch them unawares,
And see them picnic on their holiday.
See them gaily dance about.
They love to play and shout.
And never have any cares.
At six o'clock their mommies and daddies
Will take them home to bed
Because they're tired little teddy bears.
If you go out in the woods today,
You'd better not go alone.
It's lovely out in the woods today,
But safer to stay at home.
For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain, because
Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic
Every teddy bear, that's been good
Is sure of a treat today
There's lots of wonderful things to eat
And wonderful games to play
Beneath the trees, where nobody sees
They'll hide and seek as long as they please
Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic

the theme song from Howard the Duck.
I used to do this one a lot, but it's been a while now, It's almost like it was going away...Now it will probably come back :)
And TEDDY BEAR PICNIC?!...That one ALWAYS gets me at random times...I don't usually sing it, but I catch myself humming it all the time...It must just be because it's so damned catchy...and it REALLY gets stuck

I have Right where it belongs stuck in my head.
My most horrific encounter with this phenomena, however, was a couple of years ago, i was bedridden with a bad case of the flu, and had "Switch" by Will Smith stuck in my head for 2 days. I could barely move, couldnt sleep, and couldnt get the song out of my head or turn on anythign to drown it out...

HaHaHa...Well...I didn't say that we don't have our own :D...In fact, I have to upload ours and burn him some new ones because he has seriously messed his up beyond saving
He loves Zim, too...Gir is his favorite...He has the sheet set and his pillow has Gir on it, eating candy...The baby points to it and says "mmm" :)
He carries his discs around and puts them in a DVD player, no matter which room he's in...He had a portable DVD player, but that didn't last long...He broke it good
I'm hoping to finish burning these before he wakes up...He'll be happy that they aren't skipping anymore

You ever unintentionally find yourself singing a song that sounds appropriate to what you're doing or your context that's actually another song with the lyrics changed? The other day as I was grating cheese for pizza and I found myself singing "Here he comes, here comes cheese grater, he's grating the cheese..." and then my girlfriend walks into the room and looks like at me like I've transformed into a walrus or something. And after she leaves, I somehow can't help but resume singing again. "he's a demon and he's always grating cheese for something..."

OH, but once I catch myself singing something, I actually change the lyrics on purpose, to fit

I guess many people get some Tom Jones now and then
I do that one in cases where you would say "what's new?"
Like, if Dustin says "The baby is throwing the dishes in the garbage"
I sing "What's new, Pussycat?...whoah - whoah -whoah-"...lol
I actually answer many questions with parts of songs...It's a quirk, I guess
Like when Dustin asks what's for dinner...I'll sing "It's all up to you"

This one has plagued me since I was little...It's gotten me today
In Dublin's fair city
where girls are so pretty
I first set my eyes on sweet Molly Malone
as she wheeled her wheelbarrow
through streets broad and narrow
crying 'cockels and mussels! alive, alive oh!'
alive, alive oh, alive, alive oh!
crying 'cockels and mussels! alive, alive oh!'
She was a fishmonger
but sure it was no wonder
for so were her father and mother before
and they each wheeled their barrow
through streets broad and narrow
crying 'cockels and mussels! alive, alive oh!'
alive, alive oh, alive, alive oh!
crying 'cockels and mussels! alive, alive oh!'
She died of a fever
and no one could save her
and that was the end of sweet Molly Malone
but her ghost wheels the barrow
through streets broad and narrow
crying 'cockels and mussels! alive, alive oh!'
alive, alive oh, alive, alive oh!
crying 'cockels and mussels! alive, alive oh
