But I really want you guys to check out this TV series!

I just discovered it last week and I LOVE IT...I don't watch television (my TV is a machine that is used in conjuction with a vcr and dvd player to watch horror movies) except for some news shows concerning the upcoming elections...So for me to actually become hooked on this, is really saying something


I was searching for episodes of Friday The 13th (the series)...Something came up in the search that said 'Supernatural - Scarecrow'...'Scarecrow' is a story from the Friday The Thirteenth series, so I thought it might be what I was looking for and I downloaded it

Turned out it was something completely different

So, I start looking into the 'Supernatural' show...And I have now obtained EVERY EPISODE (even the unaired pilot...But, don't waste your time with that, it's the same as the actual pilot, they just changed a little of the technical stuff)


Anyway...

It's 2 brothers who grew up hunting demons, ghosts, urban legends, shapeshifters, vampires, and just about any creature or supernatural thing you can imagine, after their mother was killed by a demon when the little brother was just a baby

This show is funny, and actually informative...You just have to watch it to see what I mean

I'm up to the 3rd season, and they are gearing up for an apocalyptic war

The show is currently in its 4th season...It airs on Thursday nights, but I haven't watched it on television yet

Boxed sets of seasons 1-3 are available in most places you can get DVDs (and eBay)


The soundtrack is AMAZING and includes just about everything I have in my comp...Even Quiet Riot and Def Leppard! :eek: ...Ozzy, Filter, AC/DC, Alice In Chains, Led Zepplin, and SO many others...The fx and storyline are awesome, too

Every episode is like a cool movie...I'm going to HATE it when I catch up and have to wait a week for an episode :/

I don't wanna give away too much of it, because I don't wanna spoil it for you guys...But, PLEASE check it out


AND...Look for movie and music references in EVERY name they use (There's even a hunter named 'Kubrick')...They have actually mentioned over 100 horror movies so far, and Linda Blair starred as a cop in one episode...At the end Dean asks "Did she seem familiar to you?"...And he says that he has a sudden craving for pea soup...lol

This show was OBVIOUSLY made by serious horror movie (and rock music) fans...Dean reminds me of myself in a LOT of ways (he's quite obviously a scorpio :p)

(ok - seriously - i liked the show when i saw it - but i haven't seen that many episodes- i remember one with a plane crash at the beginning - it would probably be good to see a whole season - maybe i'll rent the dvds)

Only watched one episode...something about a haunted asylum.

I really liked the plot, but the two brothers annoyed the living hell out of me. I'd be willing to check out another episode or two, but I'm in no hurry what-so-ever.

I think it would make for a much better show if it catered to an older audience. The horror elements feel watered down and censored. It's not nearly violent enough for my tastes. But I like the idea behind it.

I enjoy Supernatural as well, its a fun show. When it first started, I wasn't sure, but really, it has just just gotten better and better as it goes along for the most part, in my opinion. And the soundtrack is indeed awesome. So now I watch every week. :)
