Okay, i know many people are jaded and nothing scares them any more (myslef included, for the most part), but back in the day, when we were younger, some stuff terrified us.
I want you to share a moment from a movie, or maybe surrounding a movie, that terrified you as a kid. My example:
I was 11 or 12, and my grandmother uncle,, his girl and my great grandmother were visiting. They and my mom dada and sister were watching twilight zone, the movie. it was at the end, when the gremlin runs up and touches john lithgow, andf my uncle crept uup to me and said my name to ask me something. The way things lined up, it startled me and i screamed bloody murder. I dont think anything has ever scared me that much.
I wasnt allowed to watch anything remotly scary for a while because i nearly gave everyone a heart attack.

The only time I can remember that I ever screamed from a horror movie was when I was maybe 6 or 7.
I was sneaking downstairs to watch some Childsplay movie, because you know, I was curious to see a horror movie. So I sat on the last step of the stairs so I could see the TV, and I was ok for like 3 minutes because nothing was happening, when all of a sudden Chucky jumped out of nowhere, so I screamed and ran upstairs.
I got yelled at the next morning because I snuck downstairs passed my bedtime.

I can't remember ever screaming during a movie, but The Gate fucked me up for a couple of weeks. There a big hand that grabs the kids from under their bed. That scene made me JUMP into bed for weeks after that.

One movie that scared the shit out of me when it's not even a horror was that movie called "Little Monsters" or something like that.
When I first saw it, I was probably 4. Man it scared me, I didn't want to fall asleep because I thought I'd be dragged under my bed in a world of monsters and shit.

It is. Once she started on him, I knew it was coming so the fact that she bit didn't do it, but then it cut to her GNAWING! That's not cool.

Freddy scared the shit out of me when I was little. Just his face scared me, and hearing him scared me. I always had the image of him inprinted in my mind, so whenever I closed my eyes to goto sleep I would see it.
But then I turned 12 and got into the series.

After seeing the Dream Warriors poster at a freinds house, freddy scared me for a while. Also, the ads for the original creepshow (as well as the comic, which my cousin had) gave me a complex until i was 15

I remember when I was 8 and I saw The Exorcist....I barely lifted my eyes above the pillow the whole movie. But technically I never screamed because I saw nothing...just....heard it.
But then I saw the movie a couple years later, and I was still a little frightenend but loved it. Then I saw it again, and understood what was going on.

Thtas kinda funny. The first two times i "Saw" the exorcist, I had my head buroed in a pillow or under a blanket.
And I was 19, how sad is that.

LMAO!
I was too old when I saw those movies unfortunately. I'm sure if I saw them when I was younger I would have a funny ass story.

Oh boy. You were lucky then. It was a traumatic experience. I had to lift up the seat with the plunger and then take a quick peek inside to make sure no baby alligators were in there.

I've never really jumped because of a horror movie or anything, but there have been a few that creeped me out. I remember catching Night of the Living Dead back on TNT when I was about 10, and didn't sleep well for a good week... Hellraiser was the same deal ( Damn TNT again! ) because of the chatterer. That bastard had me scared for a damn good long time.
However, thanks to those movies I got the resolve to see more horror movies because I didn't want to be scared of them anymore ( Remember, I was young. ) and thanks to that I'm now a huge fan of 'em.
