either my wife or I will take our son on his rounds while the other one gives out canday at home (to mostly rude little kids and older thugs who should be out working - not trick or treating)

at 8:00 we turn out the lights and head downstairs to watch a scary (kid friendly) movie on the big screen.

thats about it..

oh .. we always carve a couple of pumpkins - i do one and my son does the other..

I'm going to a party I think, as long as I don't have to work. I'm going as a deer hunter and the boyfriend is going as the deer.

Mmmm... Puns...

PUN-ishable by death there, friend! AHAHA!

Okay, I'm an old dork way before my time...

We will be dressing up the little on as Emily Elizabeth from Clifford the big red dog (the cartoon version). Then like last year, we will take her downtown for their trick-or-treat at all of the stores, then around the neighborhood for that trick-or treat THEN to the mall for that one. Lily makes out liek a bandit.

And mom and dad take care of the stuff that isnt appropriate for a 2 year old :D

Gonna actually dress up this year for a change...going out as ALEX DeLarge.

Going to carve up 2 pumpkin heads too.

Well, all through October I plan to watch NOTHING but horror movies. On the day itself I'll be watching Dungeon of Harrow, as per usual.

I think some friends of mine are having a party somewhere close to Halloween...my girlfriend and I are probably going to go as The Phantom + Christine from Phantom of the Opera.

I gonna go buy some little Sugar Pumpkins to have for cook--me cook them, put them in stir-fry, etc. Me got some last year, cooked them, was GOOD, want to cook more w/real pumpkin, cannot be beat! :)

When pumpkins are take apart, you can scoop out seeds and also make roast pumpkin seed, usually there are a couple hundred seeds even in a small pumpkin, they are a special treat around Halloween time :) ;)

Halloween party as per usual....its on the 24th this year. Trying to get some good horror movie viewing in all month.
Pass out candy Halloween night, until its gone [usually about 8ish] then seeing its a friday night.....perhaps some Halloween beer.....this one is very good

They're even better if you sprinkle some tamari on them before you roast them.

Holy hell it is AWFUL. it is "pumpkin spice" flavored malt liquor, so kind of a Pumpkin Pie flavored smirnoff ice, only worse than it sounds.

Use the whole month of October to celebrate Halloween zeroing in on reading horror books and comics and watching horror movies. Halloween morning I meet a longtime childhood friend for breakfast, taking the day off ( and the day after so I can stay up late watching more horror -- the kind my wife doesn't care for, "Goodnight dear.") if I need to. Fortunately Halloween falls on my day off this year. Then answer the door for a while until it slows down then off to Starbucks for more reading. Been doing this for a couple decades now.

Probably have some people over for some movies, I have to take somebody to court (for work) that day (1:30) but it should be quick. This whole month will be great though...

Celebrating all month long with books and movies. On Halloween night probably staying in with horror movies all day and all night. And I am sure there will be some kind of liquor involved with the night's festivities.

No trick or treaters here, unfortunately, I would love to decorate the house and put on a show, but no point if no one will see it.

So far I don't have any plans for Halloween on the actual day, however I plan on Chaperoning a Halloween Kids Party on the 25th. Sadly, I have no idea on who to be.

I like the Octoberfest and the Halloween Ales.......not a fan of the pumpkin beers.

I didn't mind the Shipyard too much...a little bitter...I think I prefer Jack's Pumpkin Spice Ale, though.

I actually love that Shipyard Pumpkin Ale. But I typically love anything pumpkin flavored, and I usually like most beers that aren't from a can, so for me it was a good fit.

same here. all horror all month. plus i'm really excited to watch dungeon of harrow per your recommendation. i'll be ordering it later this week.

of course, i'll be decorating pretty much constantly, and in a few weeks i'll be having my annual 12-hour horror marathon!
also, i'll surely be listening to neverending wonder radio (i'm sensing a new tradition) constantly throughout this month.
i also love taking night bike rides through town during this time of year. the rustling leaves, the chilliness, the halloween decorations. i just love it.

october is the best, absolutely.

Thanks for the mention, fortunato. I was beginning to think nobody here had any love for Halloween tunes!
