Hits the streets the end of Oct. The game will feature both first-person and third-person perspectives, and you can change to either perspective during gameplay. Any other Fallout fans?

Never played Fallout 2, but i Adore the original. I played through it five or six times, and I have an attention span barely adequate to play FPSs.

I remember seeing some screenshots in a PC Gamer article about a year ago: I will definitely be getting it. It will have to wait for me to get and play Orange Box, but i will defintiely be getting it.

The screenshot that sold me (as opposed to it being a Fallout game, which is enough) was a mutant's head exploding from a gunshot. Horribly graphic :D

It does look pretty good. Very good blood effects.

It's funny, this one was banned in Australia for a bit due to "realistic depictions of drug use".

We have no problem with the exploding of people, the violence is fine. But I will be DAMNED if Australian video game players are going to be exposed to the applying morphine into their wounded limbs! Thats just morrally corrupting!

Anyway, I am not a Fallout veteran I have never played the original or the sequel or the myriad of much aligned spin offs, but free roaming around the devastated cityscape of Washington with my dog and blowing the living shit out of mutants? Yeah man, sign me up.

Same thing in america. Kill all you want, but dont show tits, that will corrupt our children.

Yeah what is it about breasts that frightens America so much?

The censorship board down under is crazy as bat shit though, the is next to no real consistency between titles that get banned and the ones that make it too shelves. The new silent hill is the current casualty. Apparently you can't power drills on monsters in Australia.

I have no Idea. They are harmless and fun to look at, like bunnies without teeth.

Of course, when there is no nudity to scream about, then they jump all over "excessive" violence. There's an irony if i have ever seen one.

Shooting someon ein the head is just fine, as long as it doesnt have all that offensive gore, you know, like an actual head wound. Its a great message, keep violence cartoonish and unrealistic so that epopel dont think it is horrific. Game or not, violence is horrific, and should be displayed as such. Desensitizing people with games is pretty rare. i relish blowing people in half in FEAR, but a picture of a real person eviscerated will kill my appetite until i can scrub the image from my mind.

Because I knwo the difference between real and fantasy. I am tired of the government trying to "protect" me from the .5% of the population that is screwed up enough to be inspired to act out what they see.

Sorry buddy but some digital distribution mob has hold of it. The place hasn't even launched yet, but gamebanshee talked about the option to purchase it coming soon.

In relation to Fallout 3, I have to say I recently played through it a second time, and it was the most satisfying gaming expierence I have had in years. Much like oblivion if you don't have a strong sense of the character you have decided to play the game won't help you much, but if you do... the game deliveries in so many spades that no form of poker exists to compete.

I'm really not into that type of game, but my brother in law let me borrow it and I was instantly hooked. I think I played for about 2 days straight. It is a very fun and addicting game, you would like it imo.
