Okay, I don't like talking about feelings and stuff (you know, with my not being a woman and all), but there's a girl at school I really like. I don't know how much though because I'm not really old enough to have been "in love" before. But the other day, she hugged this guy to say goodbye and I felt a strange shot of jealousy, so I think I like her a lot. But I've never asked a girl out before and don't know if she'd say yes to me.

So what I need to know, how do I ask a girl out? I don't mean how do I trick a girl into liking me, it's just I don't know what to say. What do you girls like to be said when a guy asks you out?

Probably the wrong person to offer advice but here goes.

You can't trick a girl to go out with you and unfortunally at your age you lack a big bank account or a porshe so i guess you'll have to rely on being yourself.

The first thing you really need to do is establish some sort of communication - have you things in common you can talk about like classes/school stuff - this can be a good 'ice breaker' then you can graduate to more personal things.

Of course this is easier said than done and I wouldn't swop places with you for a million euro :-)

Funny, very funny, but that doesn't make you any less of a dick for saying it :p

The "Be yourself" thing really works. I didnt have a girlfriend until i was 17, but then it was one right after the other, just because i was myself when i met them. the hard part is not being conscious of yourself when you are around the one you have a crush on.

I lucked out, i wasnt going after any of the girls i wound up dating, they came after me.


Thne there is my wife, who after 7 years of single life, i decided to just throw caution to the wind and say what i was thinking. Worked out great :)

not that i'm one to give advice in this department either, but i've found the best way to do it is to just do it.

figure out a time when you'll see her, set a time to ask her in your head, and do it.
it's hard, and you'll probably be nervous all day leading up to it.
and she might say no.

but then you'll know, and then you can move on from there.

but seriously. think about it. set a time to do it. and just ask her simply.

Like fortunato said, just go for it.

Simple. Direct. Save the wooing for when she actually says yes, if she does. And if she doesn't, the sting of rejection doesn't last as long as you think. You'll be over it in a week, two tops. Good luck.

I would wait until you are alone together and ask her out. You don't want to ask her with a bunch of friends around. If she's in a class with you, you could use that as an excuse, like you want to study together or something. And if she doesn't end up liking you, then she's not worth it.

Just be yourself and you'll be fine. :)
