I just saw the remake and I have to say that it wasnt bad, I could do without the CGI but, I guess for some budgets it cant be helped. I like the Prom scene better in the original better than the remake, I think it had more of a scary feel to it. I guess I am being a little bias because I think Angela Bettis is drop dead gorgeous,(Yes I have strange taste in women but they all taste good.)

Can anyone tell me if Carries mother is the same actress in the remake as the original, for some reason they look very similar to me.

And I thought that Carrie 2 was a piece of cinematic garbage.

I haven't seen the remake yet but I hear it is truer to the orginal novel than the first film. I'll bet that the ending in the remake isn't as scary as in the orginal film though. Now that was one hell of an ending.

The TV version of Carrie I have not seen but is apparently not so bad. And no the Mom was different from the theatrical version. Movie was Piper Laurie, TV was Patricia Clarkson. I like The Rage: Carrie 2 but could of done without the flash backs.
