It was bound to happen eventually - a film that "spoofs the spoofs" (Though I always thought "Scream" was somewhat of a spoof, so "Scary Movie" might have already done this - to some extent).
"Not Another Not Another Movie", from director David Murphy, fixes on a movie studio that's willing to do anything to make a mint - even if it means ruining their reputation, and running the business into the ground.
The ensemble cast includes Chevy Chase (welcome back Chevy!), Michael Madsen and Burt Reynolds (this'd be his second comedy of late, having done "In the Name of the King"), Jennifer Sciole ("Soccer Mom") and Richard Tyson ("There's Something About Mary").
The production is also on the lookout for actors/actresses to play a 'Leonardo DiCaprio-type from Titanic' (in fact they also want 'Kate Winslet' and 'Gloria Stuart' types, suggesting Jim Cameron's film gets a bit of an attack here) , a 'Isla Fisher-type from Wedding Crashers' and a 'Draco Malfoy-type from the Harry Potter series' - so that gives you an indication of what type of flicks are to be ribbed here.
Good to see someone's taking the work away from those "Movie" - "Epic" movie, "Date" movie and so on - guys.
"Not Another Not Another Movie" commences principal photography at the end of the month.

He's been out of the game for a while. The movie sounds like it could be total suckage....but we'll see. I'm a huge fan of Fletch 1&2 and The Vacation movies...so I'm cheering for him to be "funny" again.

My prediction:
It will suck. The listed cast all has some real suck-fests tied to their names, and Chevy Chase has lost anything and everything that ever made him worth watching. He is also an arrogant douchebag, so i am glad to see him setting himself up for failure. Maybe this will be the nail in the coffin lid that inspires him to follow Hunter S Thompson into the great beyond.

Isn't this a little like cannibalism, but without the gnarly cool intestine-eating scenes? Well, at least Leslie Nielsen isn't in it.....yet!

why would Leslie Neilsen being in something make it bad in any way shape or form?

I think he was commenting on the fact that the "movie movies" that Nielsen has been in have been the ones that did the worst. Although I think that's more coincidence than anything.
A few of them have been good.
Scary Movie, Scary Movie 3, Date Movie.
They're the only ones I can think of at the moment. Superhero movie wasn't a total let down either.
This could be a laugh. The actors, though they may have had bad films, they've also had good ones.

Actually, I was referring to this-
• Slap Shot 3: The Junior League (2008) (V) (completed) .... Mayor of Charlestown
• Superhero Movie (2008) .... Uncle Albert Adams
• Scary Movie 4 (2006) .... President Baxter Harris
• Scary Movie 3 (2003) .... President Harris
• Kevin of the North (2001) .... Clive Thorton/Cab Driver
• 2001: A Space Travesty (2000) .... Richard 'Dick' Dix
• Wrongfully Accused (1998) .... Ryan Harrison
• Safety Patrol (1998) (TV) .... Mr. Penn
• Mr. Magoo (1997) .... Mr. Quincy Magoo
• Spy Hard (1996) .... Dick Steele, Agent WD-40
• Dracula: Dead and Loving It (1995) .... Count Dracula
• Rent-a-Kid (1995) (TV) .... Harry Haber
• Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult (1994) .... Lt. Frank Drebin
• The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear (1991) .... Lt. Frank Drebin
• Repossessed (1990) .... Father Jebedaiah Mayii
• The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! (1988) .... Lt. Frank Drebin
• "Police Squad!" .... Det. Frank Drebin (6 episodes, 1982)
• Airplane! (1980) .... Dr. Rumack
a long string of skit comedies where he basically plays the same bumbling character he started with in Airplane! (I left out the numerous times he's played Santa Claus and movies that probably fit on this list, that I've never heard of). The first few movies were kinda funny, mainly because he'd been playing serious roles for 30 years prior to Airplane!, so it was a novelty to see him cut up for a change. But now, it's getting to be like a joke I've heard too many times. If he mixed it up a little with some serious stuff, it probably wouldn't annoy me so much, and might even improve his career.
Anyway, I'm here to talk about horror flicks, not Leslie Nielsen.

Basically, Leslie Nielsen did Airplane, Police squad and the naked gun, all of which were fucking hilarious.
Then there was Naked Gun 2 and a half, which was kinda not bad.
From then on, everything he has been in has either been retarded with some funny moments, or so god-awful unfunny(2001) that only old farts with no sense of humor like them (My dad)

Why did you even reply to this thread in the first place, then?
