It was announced last August that John Moore would be bringing Virgin Comics' Virulents to the big screen. This weekend he told MTV he wants a Wahlberg to star.

"Mark [Wahlberg], of course. We had a hell of a time on MAX PAYNE. I think he’s an actor of unlimited potential and I’d just love to go around with him again. [But] we’re not in control of these things — lots of big people with big checkbooks get to do that. If it’s going to happen, then the karma makes it happen.”

The story revolves around a ragtag group of soldiers who search for a lost patrol in Afghanistan. The soldiers, some from an American military unit, some from an Indian military unit, stumble into a nest of vampire zombies.

More news on this one as it comes in.

why is marky mark so fucking likable? And for that matter Donny?

2 guys, between them responsible for countless douchebag songs, but if either is in a movie, i will probably see it.

Donny is remarkably versatile. between the sixth sense, dreamcatcher and ransom, he should get an oscar for being able to pull off completely different characters. it should be called the "Not Tom Cruise" category. Kind of a lifetime achievement award for not sucking. Even if the movie does.

wufongtan.

I agree. i would almost spew at the type of music they would put out. and when i heard they/he was going into movies i thought great. another bad singer making bad movies. But i was suprised at how good he is. and i always seem to go watch his movies as well..
1 q . wtf are zombie vampires? arent all vampires zombies in a way? or do they mean that they are just brain dead stupid vampires, who only interest is killing? i hope so.
one more q. does anyone find it a little insensitive to be making movies located in a war that is still going on? i'm not saying it is. but i dont know. just seems a little strange, but that might just be me.
