So, I buy this iPod touch and have to take it back because the damn thing doesn't even turn the fuck on.
No problem, I can deal.

The new one I get is FUCKING COOL...at least for the first 5 hours and I am psyched because I have a new toy to play with on vacation.

But no... that can't happen, that would be like...buying something for alot of fucking money and it actually WORKING properly..that shit just doesn't happen.

I have had nothing but a headache dealing with this PIECEOFSHIT...
... at this time ALL my music and videos have disappeared after spending $10 on the UPGRADE iTunes offers. I have just wasted valuable time that should have been spent getting ready to leave this fucked-up, hellhole, godforsaken town I live in trying to hunt in the 'SUPPORT' pages what the fuck is wrong with this THING I have wasted my money on.

Anyhoo, I have justed ranted to the Apple tech people to help me... no I didn't cuss ((well, I did, but THAT email wasn't accepted)
So I hope to hear from them so they can relate some totally useless advice to fix the problems.


It truly makes me sick to my stomach to have spent so much money and to have this much aggravation. I need a drink, a strong, knock me on my ass, Drink.
With today's advances in technology...there really should NOT BE this much fuckups, huh?
And considering how much iPods are ( the LITTLE ones are $80, for pete's sake)...they should be quite honestly kissing peoples ass or caressing..whichever you prefer.

I've had mine for about 3 years now. Haven't had a single problem with it, other than Harley chewing up one of the headphone pieces. But I don't think that's Apple's fault.

I use a PSP - i just wish they had the capacity of an IPOD - but i love the fact that they are more flexible than the ipod.

if i had a 40 gig memory stick - i'd be in heaven.

So what actually happened with the replacement you got? Was it that you bought the firmware upgrade for $10 and all your content got erased?

Did your content get erased off the ipod touch, or off your itunes library on your computer as well?

Was the content itunes protected content (ie stuff that you bought from the istore) or non-protected content?


It is really shitty when upgrades make things worse than the thing you upgraded from! Hopefully this is easily recoverable and Apple or someone here can point you in the right direction to getting your stuff back on your ipod...

The apps took about 2 hours to DL so I am guessing there is some fuckup somewhere in there.
The advice on the support page said to delete them one by one to see which one MAY be the problem....LMAO, yeah...right, I'll just do that when I have about 6 Hours of time to piss away- LMAO...stupid motherfuckers:rolleyes:

I have a cheap 1 gig player by Sylvania--you know, the light bulb company. It'll hold enough music to keep me unbored for a day and I like it. It cost me about 30 dollars at Big Lots. It's fairly reliable.

But, even this cool thing had its little snags setting up. The instruction sheet showing how to menu around and find your songs was wrong--I followed the directions and they were wrong, I could not menu on this thing according to the manual. I had to press the wrong buttons and figure out how to make it work myself and it took a good day!

Maybe that's why it was at Big Lots...the machine itself was okay but the buttons were all backwards from what the instruction said. Banana were not happy. But I figgered it out.

I had $150 Ipod take a shit on me about 2 days after having it. Of course during that 2 days, I managed to put 600 songs on it. When I went to turn it on, the fucking piece of garbage wouldn't turn on. It's nothing I did, luckily I didn't pay the $150 for the fucker, so I just threw the son of a bitch away. Fucking Ipod's are useless pieces of cunt-shit.

Never been a fan of IPod, it's just one of those things that hit because of the design and manufacturer really. Like designer jeans, you can get jeans that are equal (or in some cases better) in quality for the same price or less... but you won't have the label.

Mine is a pain in the arse too. I got it for Christmas, and was going to take it overseas recently. Before i went i plugged it into my computer and put a cd into the drive to transfer files. The computer directory was telling me that the files were in the ipod. So i disconnected it from the pc and tried to access the files, that apparently weren't in the ipod directory. So i gave up and the ipod didn't go with me. I must admit that i didn't miss it that much. Still it sits in it's box, waiting for me to get my brother to help me out.

My iPod has only failed twice. Once when I took it out of the computer without ejecting it first, and once (last thursday). I turned it on and the screen was blank. I think it must be something to do with the fact we went on a plane. Maybe to do with the pressure changed in landing. Both times I just reset it and it went back to normal with everything still on it.

I like mine so far...but I just got it a week ago! I've had bad luck with mp3 players in the past...both the other ones I had previously screwed up. I hope this one lasts. But I got the extra warranty just in case.
