My relationship with my parents has finally snapped.... I don't really know what else to say. It's finally gone off the deep end. Me and my mom had a huge fight and she wants nothing more to do with me. my dad and me never get along anyway. I just feel like the most misunderstood person. No one ever really gets to know me, so no one really knows what's going on. It's like everything came crashing down all at once, and i can't do a thing about it.

I'd just like things to work out for once, instead of spiraling out of control like everything that's happened in the past 6 months.

Dont take any rash decisions. You might regret it later.

Chill out for a few, then talk the matter over with your Mom. Usually in a fierce argument or fight, a lot of words escape from mouths which are said without any real thinking behind it. Later on when you sit down and ponder over those moments again, you either feel bad/guilty or regret about speaking before thinking.

Same with your Mom too. Remember, she is going through this difficult phase of her own life also (I remember you telling me about your Dad and the shit between you both). Sure, she might have said something in severe short temper and in the heat of the moments, but I have a gut feeling she needs you right now more than either of you realise it. Give her a chance, and your relationship with her might improve, at least a tad bit.

The time to move out will come eventually. Just dont rush it. I know you are a good guy and you love your Mom to death, and I am sure you wont take any decisions without thinking the matter over. Also, once college starts, its a whole different life altogether and that will make moving out that much easier.

I say...chill out for a bit, let Mom simmer down too and after some time, talk things over with her in a fair, level-headed normal way. Time heals the worst of wounds and the best of hearts, so give the whole situation some...time.

All the best. Hope the situation gets resolved in everyone's favor, especially yours.

It's ok, she's just afraid to show emotion because she doesn't want to seem vulnerable. You aren't the only one of your kind Rory ;)

Maybe one day when things settle down , you could all sit down.
take the initiative and discuss what the real problem is between you all.
I hope things work out for you.

I'm sorry to hear that Posh. Like everybody has said, its probably best to just leave them alone for a while, and calm yourself down, then try to approach them calmly. Or you cold always do what I do, and just avoid everybody.

I think most people go through it, unless they move out sooner then their parents would like. Anyway, you should move out with some friends so that rent doesn't kill you while you're going to school.

Also get a part-time job. ;)

your parents will love you again, don't worry.

The thing you probably don't realize is...you are a complete product of your parents fucking up the job of raising you....and they KNOW it.

..and I don't want to hear it's NOT the parent...enough of that bullshit.

I AM TIRED OF hearing these whiny ass adults bitching about, "I don what to do...."
Fuck that shit.

They should have yanked their bratty asses out of the store when they threw a tantrum the FIRST time at age 2, and then proceeded from there to not allow them to Rule Your House...dipshits:rolleyes:

We parents are the BACKBONE of our children, no matter what adversities they may have naturally or enviromentally...it's OUR FUCKING job to protect them, love them, and smack their ass when they fail but pull them up at the same time.
It's our job to teach them to be good humans:)

Are you a mom to a teenager yourself?

Are you a mom to a teenager yourself?

My daughter is turning 10 at the end of August and she has spent a good chunk of valuable summertime in her room.
( and I am not one of those parents who let them have TV'S, computers, cell phones and other nonsense that makes grounding to there room 'Fun'. )

I swear if this is a preview of what's to come...oh dear lord save me.:(

I have a plan though...it involves duct tape:cool:

Yeah...

I honestly don't think it's easy parenting a teenager. It's not easy for the teenager as well. It's a very difficult time. The most difficult time, i'm sure.

I moved out when I was 18....after that my Mom and I became close again. She actually told me I could move back in after about a year...but I never did....and I'm now 33.
