Despite the fact that i'm about to book my knee surgery any day now - i played in a volleyball tournament last weekend.

Big charity tournament - there must have been 300 - 400 teams there ..

My team did really well ... we won all 8 games Saturday - and 4 games Sunday morning which was the regular sched. we finished 2nd in our pool (competative), then won the 1st playoff game.

we were finally beaten the next game (by 1 point)

great weekend, a lot of fun .. really enjoyed the entire time out.

also got a chance to play with my new camera (i went and did it - bought a Nikon D300 - one sweet ass camera)

the entire weekend was overcast - bad for pictures - but good for playing ball)

some of my team warming up (gives you a small idea of how many teams were there - the nets go on for ever - close to 100 of them)

Overcast weather is very good for taking pictures- the diffuse light is evenly distributed. You should know this.

Hey, looks like a lotta fun! Nice photos too. You get a camera, you go into a camera frenzy for a while, taking pictures of everything and giggling a lot.
