Will there be a Friday the 13th box set? If you check www.allhorrormovies.com it mentions it, but that is it just a mention. I would like more information.

They're re-mastering the first 8 movies from digitally cleaned up negatives, adding commentaries from Sean S. Cunningham for the first three, Sean and Corey for the fourth, and no commentaries for the rest. 9 and 10 are just the regular releases of the movies from before. There's also a bonus disc with:
The trailers
a 90 minute documentary on the evolution of Jason and the movies (As opposed to the one on the JX DVD, they're showing clips from all the movies in this one)
FvsJ trailer
A 10 minute mini-documentary on why they did Freddy vs. Jason
The storyboarded alternate ending to the original F13

EDIT: Damn, avenger beat me

Thanks, i own the Freddy box set and all the Hellraisers, but i don't own a single friday the 13th. Why aren't Jason X and Jason goes to Hell going to be in the box set?

B/c they are owned by New Line. Paramount owns the first 8 films. Paramount is doing the set.

Thats pretty cool, I guess I recently wated my money on Part 4... oh well. The commentaries will probably rock, but it would be nice if they did it on ALL of them. I'd like to hear an explanation for Part 8. >_<

That kind of sucks fo me since I own all the F13 on DVD. I might just buy the extra DVD though.

I had a few of them and sold them as soon as I found out the box set was really happening. Those old DVD's suck ass. They didn't even put a trailer on them. What's the point of having a DVD without special features? I hate the bare bones releases.
