View Full Version : I can't believe you haven't seen....
The Sci-Fi tourny got me thinking.....[yeah...it doesn't happen too often]
What movies are you embarrassed to say you haven't seen.
I have two
"Dances With Wolves"-----no reason...I like westerns....just haven't found the 3 hours to watch it. and I own it.
"Schindler's List"-----This one I think is because of the subject matter.....don't know if you can tell from my post...but I'm not a really serious person. I should see this....just gotta get in the right frame of mind.

I haven't seen Schindler's List yet either and I tend to drop off of movie franchises after the third installment, so I've missed most high-numbered horror sequals

I must admit that I am SHOCKED that none of you have seen Schindler's List! ?!?!
I finally just crossed Chinatown & Citizen Kane off my list of films I'm embarrassed to have not seen.
I've never seen Tron.

took me a long time to see schindlers list.
i have to be in the right frame of mind - and it's rare for war or war related themed movies for some reason.
very powerful film ..
falls under the category of one of the best films you'll ever watch ONCE.

I haven't seen Pans Labyrinth, or (except for #1 recently) the Mad Max trilogy...people have commented that I should.
Schindlers List? Nope, but in all honesty I don't really intend to.

I'm proud to have not seen the Matrix. Never have, never will.
Why? It's a fantastic film.
And for those who have not seen Schindler's List yet- go ahead and do it.
I was a part of that group until about a month and a half ago, and I'm so glad I finally took the time to do it. It's a truly remarkable film, and you'll never see another like it.

Something about the whole thing always rubbed me the wrong way. It just felt weird with the whole Buddhism for dumbies thing at the core of it, combined with Hollywood action. Plus Keanu. I try to watch as little of Keanu as I can. I still haven't quite forgiven him for Bram Stoker's Dracula.
The first Matrix was excellent.......second kinda sucked and I never watched the third

Schindler's List - One of those movies (heck, maybe the ONLY movie...) which makes you think twice before popping it into your player for a re-watch.
Hmm...looking through my DVDs, I admit I haven't seen Re-Animator or any of it's sequels yet. I have owned em for like forever, but...just didn't seem to give them a proper viewing priority.
And, (Return will be really mad here) also The House By The Cemetery. And Superman...Batman Begins...28 Days Later...

For horror movies (there is some shame, especially since I am a horror fan and belong to a horror forum). Incidentally, I had just reached out to Fortunato for some movie recs and his list made me realize how many ridiculously iconic films I've missed out on:
Like Rod said, haven't seen most sequels beyond #2 in the big series (Halloween, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street)
Bride of Frankenstein
Last House on the Left
The Hills Have Eyes (the original)
I Spit on your Grave
Cronenburg's The Fly
Videodrome
Scanners
The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari
Cat People
Freaks
The Black Cat
Spoorloos
Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?
Fright Night
Phantasm
The Beyond
Demons
Eyes Without a Face
Sleepaway Camp
Metropolis (1927)
Cape Fear
I'm also embarrassed that I have not watched a single Ingmar Bergman film or a Bond movie in its entirety.
...
Movies that other people think that I should see... But it doesn't really bother me that I haven't (I'll get around to them eventually):
Raging Bull
Platoon
Bridge Over River Kwai
The Deer Hunter
The Great Escape
Any Old Western (The Good, The Bad, The Ugly, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, etc.)
Drugstore Cowboy
Gone With The Wind
Cool Hand Luke
Rebel Without a Cause
Goodfellas
I'm sure there are others...
