If you want to stay around here, you have to learn that new people take some bashing. If you can deal with it (it doesn't last unless you're a complete dickhead), you'll do just fine. If not, don't let the door hit you in the ass. Keep in mind you have mostly adults in here.

honestly... im not a child.....
All i wanted was a list of good scary movies so me and my friend could watch...
i dont understand whats the need for childish name calling and such...
Bashing on the new people? what do you think this is? This is a forum...
if people have nothing better to do then to bash new people on this site..
then those people need lives.....

Just a guess, but illdojo was probably asking if you're 10 years old because you spell like one. If you want to be treated like an adult put some effort in your posts.

Everyone has their own opinion as to what's scary. Your opinion varies from other people. This is what makes HDC interesting - to me, anyway. But, I'm just an old broad.

If they're so lowly and pitiful why are you offended when they something about you? I mean, they don't have lives, so why get mad, they're probably just jealous.

Depends on which version you're referring to. Jack Nicholson - loved it; Stephen Weber - hated it.

The Descent is a pretty good one...I also found The Cell to be really disturbing but I saw when I was younger...Silence of the Lambs isn't really scary but it's a great one if you haven't seen it already....It was decent. 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later were also good in my opinion.

If you want scary movies with lots of cheap scares then check out slashers from the 80's. Plenty of false jumps, evil killers, and gore there. What are your top 10 horror films? Have you seen Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, Sleepaway Camp, The Dentist, Bay of Blood (AKA Twitch of the Death Nerve), The Brood, Session 9... just check out the HDC Recommends thread in the modern horror section and check out the lists stickied above in general.

If you want a movie that makes you jump, watch any movie made for teenagers starring teenagers. They use cheap thrills like that because they have to make up for the poor acting, unoriginal script, and bad directing.

I not saying it's wrong to like these movies, because a like them sometimes too. I am just being honest on what they are.

Oh, I dunno...I like a good silly movie every once in a while...

Just lately I have been enjoying "Hell Night" from 1981...in a lot of ways I think it's the cream of the crop of 80's slashers. Full of all kinds of fun details, and featuring Linda Blair and Vince Van Patten. Very well produced bit of exploitation and worth a look.
