The rarity of this DVD is incredibly annoying. Here we have one of the most popular cult movies ever, whose visual and conceptual influence on modern horror and scifi is considerable. DVD manufacturers could stand to make a pretty penny off a wider release of this film on DVD (as well as the Criterion Collection DVD of Videodrome). Yet I've seen an Eraserhead DVD *once* at FYE, and it was close to $30, and I have *never* seen any version of Videodrome on sale. I could understand maybe not wanting to stock Videodrome, but these stores also sell movies like Hostel. Whats stopping mass production of Videodrome and Eraserhead DVDs? Certainly there is a market for these movies.

I've had it on tape for quite some time, but haven't been successful in finding an inexpensive DVD copy anywhere. At least not around here or on any websites.

I don't think rarity has to do with price in this case. I mean, you can buy 5 signed copies at a time if you want... that doesn't seem "rare" to me. Same with the Criterion Videodrome (and Criterions in general), the price isn't necessarily a reflection of the rarity.

where can you get signed copies?
eraserhead is one of my all time favorite films, and I'd be stoked to have it signed...is it signed by Lynch?

I heard it was signed not by Lynch, but by a flickering light bulb that represents Lynch.
