He was 62

Great, great man. I only had tyhe chance to get a quick handshake from the man, but that was in his offices, surrounded by the most amazing artifacts - the Terminator, The Gil-Man from Monster Squad, several Men In Black creatures and a few Jurrasic Park Dinosaurs.

It was a great moment for a geek and I wish I had gotten to know the man personally.

Yes he is. :(

And damn...I feel like a part of me is gone. Each one of his creations, his visions...was so much a part of my visual experiences.

I literally grew with the man and his work.

R.I.P. Stan. You will be very, very deeply missed.

When I logged into my Yahoo mail today I saw the headline and it didn't register right away and then I did a double check and said, "No this can't be that didn't say Stan Winston did it?" Low and behold it did and for the rest of the day I was saddened. The man was a genius and such an inspiration to anyone who wanted to become someone in the film industry and he will be truly missed.

Here is to you, sir.

May you Rest In Peace.

That sucks. We've lost an absolute exemplar of special effects.

Thats terrible news :( His work on The Terminator and Aliens was amazing and were a big part in turning me onto the genre. I'll have to watch Pumpkinhead in his honour in the next couple of days.

RIP
