I gotta go with Gene Simmons...He'd do ANYTHING for a buck.
On a side note...Metallica...UGH, 'Saint Anger', what the hell was THAT?!

I guess maybe Elton John or Bono...
Elton for his rewrite of his own song for Princess Dianas funersl just to make a buck.. and get a number 1 after year of no success.
Bono, because he seems to want to get his head in every where when we don't cares what the dipshit thinks since Zooropa...
Yet he shows up on every second doco as though he was there..

INXS sold out to reality TV
Goo-Goo Dolls used to be punk...and decent punk at that and then--mainstream.

agreed aswell I like theyre stuff up until the "Black" album
I didnt care much for that album but yeah I listend to them when I was younger and loved em but yeah after Cliff passed they def. werent the same but even still with "...and justice for all" that was a good one...
Slipknot anyone?
Maroon 5 not that I cared for their music anyways but still...
System of a Down after Toxicity, Daron just didnt cut it as the main song writer better then Serj

I don't know, I find it hard to label anyone as a "sellout", I bet most of these bands didn't start without money being a major factor. That said...

Gene Simmons, by a LONG shot.

I wouldn't really call Gene Simmons a sellout. Kiss were always big business and never denied it in fact they embraced it... they wanted to be as big as Coca-Cola.
Rage Against The Machine take the cake for me. So full of shit. Preaching all their anti-establishment/big business while there signed to Sony records
It always weirded me out how everyone gets on Metallica's case when Soundgarden did the exact same thing. I guess most people didn't listen to them in the early days before they cut all their hair off and started writing shitty slicked out pop rock.

With Metallica I HONESTLY feel they just wanted to try something different. I don't think the change boosted their sales OR gained them a ton of new fans really. If they "sold out" it was well before Metallica's "Metallica" (or Black album if you will). System of a Down is even a bigger sellout in my mind.

Yeah after theyre first and Toxicity Daron started doing the song writings for most of the songs and, Serj (vocalist) did most of the song writing for the first 2 albums and those were the better of their albums.....I'm actually glad Serj went solo for now at least, I like his solo stuff....and the collaborations he does....

You're wrong......Daron has always wrote all the music for SOAD.....Serj used to write most of the lyrics.....but it's 1/2 and 1/2 now a days....Also, I don't consider SOAD a sell out at all.....Serj's solo album Elect the Dead was sub-par at best. I'm sure Scars on Broadway will blow it out of the water musically.
Rancid.... Though every band should look to sell out, if they care to make a living at playing their music, that is.

I'm a big fan of Operation Ivy...I've never liked Rancid though.
Oddly enough, I'm just the opposite. :p

I dig How Could Hell Be Any Worse? but not a lot else. I used to like NOFX when I was younger but they don't really do much for me these days.
