Cheers!
Man's ability to manipulate facial hair is what separates us from the apes, right?
Got some big news for you shortly about our upcoming collaboration with a really fucking cool director who, for a change, is one of the new blood of horror.
And my graphic novel is getting some serious interest.
GIALLO has been shooting for a week in Torino and I'm supposed to see some dailies from our new Argento film (which is still freaking me out in a huge way) tomorrow.
Head's spinning, I'm really feeling strange. I hope it lasts.
:D :D :D

I am so happy for you Sean, seriously.
You totally deserve all the these things you have been getting.
I can't wait to see the finished product of Giallo.

So Rod what kind of budget does the movie have?
a little under $8Million
and Gore - I kind of imagined a young Giancarlo Gianinni in the role, so Adrien's pretty close.

Ok so I don't know much about the movie business, but I'm guessing thats not really alot. Do you think money is going to be tight for the movie?

Money's tight on most films. We have to be thrifty, but everything should work out fine. Unfortunately they can't afford to fly me out and put me up during the shoot, but that's the price for working independantly.
and cheers to you Mr Matsui!;)

Well that sucks. But hey, this is probably the coolest project you've worked on. Whats the pay like for the job though? Just wondering because I don't know a thing about the industry.

Typically a writer is paid 2.5% of the budget... we got decidedly less, but that's what happens when you're a beginner. The money I made off GIALLO didn't even cover my debt (but it paid off most of it;) )
The more films you've made, the better the pay - and if you write a hit or two, you can get paid huge.

But then.....a true artist isn't in it for the money.;)

I guess a true artist doesn't have a wife and kids to support either.

I didn't ask him like how much he makes, I mean like in the industry how much does a writer make.
