I just watched Ils (aka, in English, THEM) (http://imdb.com/title/tt0465203/).

This was an incredibly well-done home invasion/slasher film. Good use of light dark, and suspense.
The US trailer can be found here (http://youtube.com/watch?v=yFTbcDRkG1o).
Has anyone else seen this film? This honestly would make it into my Top 10 List of 2007 and I highly recommend it, especially if you're looking for a good suspenseful film.
I give it an A-/A
My boyfriend gives is a B+/A-
Definitely check it out when you get a chance.
That was the hardest I've gripped my poor boyfriend's hand in a long time... while watching a movie. ;)

This has been in my Netflix queue since it came out, but it had a wait. Should be getting it later this week now. It has 4 1/2 stars on Netflix which is impressive.

The movie actually made me jump and clutch my poor boyfriend's hand... It's been a since a horror movie had really made me jump. I can't express how incredibly well-made it is.
they are doing an english version (i think i saw a trailer but can't recall the title

Well, I definitely recommend seeing the original Romanian film.
Also - I'm a HUGE fan of home invasion films and watching this movie reminded that I'm not sure that I've even seen very many in the genre.
My top Home Invasion Films:
Halloween (if it could be called that)
Black Christmas (the original)
Ils (as of now)
What other horrific home invasion films are there out there? There's The Strangers (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0482606/), which is still pending (and I'm ridiculously excited about), but what about stuff that's already been released? What would you guys characterize and suggest in that genre?

Fear- though maybe that's more of a stalker movie...

I guess Dead Calm could be a "home invasion" movie- only it's on a boat. Very suspenseful though.
I did see ILS and I did enjoy it.

One of the best foreign movies i have seen for a while.brilliant story and superbly acted and its all true.
The wording that comes up on screen at the end is a real scary example of where this world is heading.
Brilliant and a must see.:)

Sounds like an interesting flick.
I don't have NetFlix so I can't rent it or whatnot so if and when I get around to seeing it I shall do so.

Yeah I saw it the other day now. Really well done movie. More a "boo" movie than a gory movie. Worth the watch.
Oh and the French actress in the movie is absoutley stunning looking. Looks a bit like Jennifer Connelly.
