Even though I own both movies, I will be getting this.....eventually.I can wait for the price to come down.
I just switched HBO for Starz this week.....They are showing Grindhouse as it was meant to be seen. Thinking this saturday night...grab some beers....some junk food...pull down the big screen and VIOLA.......instant drive-in

If I had a Comcast box in my room I'd totally watch Grindhouse on Saturday but they have it downstairs and in my dads room.

I have NO faith in the Weinstein company when it comes to releasing stuff to please the fans.
We've been waiting how long for Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair?

Those cats are probably smart enough not to piss too much money on reissuing their flicks when the money could be used for making something different and fresh that needs to be put out.
This will be a pretty limited release to cash in on the stamp collecting fans and recoup some losses from releasing it in its entirety as Grindhouse.
Really artistic production with some quality genre defining films (not many people mention them when it comes to The Burning) ...but all this shits just a business and they gotta keep their heads afloat like everyone else.
I'll stick to the DVD-R I made instead of paying $15 to artless distributors who think they know how I like to watch movies.
Do yourself a favor and spend your $100 bucks or whatever this set will end up going for and pick up some up tapes of the real shit from back in the day instead....
The set Eastern Eye brought out of Lady Snowblood would be money better spent than waiting around for a lame assed set of extras of a flick you've seen hundreds of times anyways.
I'm a lot more in the mindset that this whole thing has cheapened and made exploitation cinema a gimmick than when I first saw the films. But I've ranted enough and I should get back to some proper writing.

The keep pushing the R1 date for that thing back... just like "the whole bloody mess". Makes me very angry.
Here's a great place to get imports from if you don't already use it, but this set is almost $95.00!
