Hello, I am Assertion.

I have watched/read some horror stories in the past few years and would like very much to know more about the genre. I intend on latching on to someone and using them as a guide for my learning purposes, and am glad to have more than one teacher. Please give me opinions, ideas, and be honest with me. I look forward to help, to knowledge, and to the chance of finding something scary. Thank you for your time.

Welcome. Bit of advice. If you see another new member named lord Rawk, do not do as he does.

My suggestion is to go to the general forum and peruse our Top 100 lists. Lots of great films there with reviews as well.

There are lots of people here with abundant knowledge of horror. I'd make use of the entire community instead of looking for a mentor.

Welcome aboard.

Exactly, there are a lot of us that love horror and many of us have favorite genres. The last watched movie thread can be helpful as well as often times people give their (usually brief) feelings on whatever movie they just watched. Beware the unicorn's misleading reviews though. ;)
