This looks great. Anyone checked it out yet? I dug Dog Day Afternoon and Serpico so hopefully this will be killer. Philip Seymour Hoffman is always solid.

Sidney lumet's another masterpiece....a truly beautiful film. Philip Seymour Hoffman deserved at least a nomination for Oscar for his outstanding performance. Ethan Hawke also did a fantastic job in his role. I have seen the movie few months ago, one of the best movies of last year. Highly recommended.

Almost watched this on the plane back from Greece, but went for Micheal Clayton and I'm Not There instead.

Looks pretty sweet.

I saw it in the theaters, its an excellent film, very character focused.
Hoffman's performance was chilling.

I thought it was a great film. Sidney's still getting it done at 84, you'd never guess someone at his age made this film. Very modern(filmed on hi-def) but still very classic movie making. He talk in the extra features about how he actually saw the film as a melodrama when everyone else was telling him it was a thriller. But he's right, and brings his talent and experience to show how the melodrama genre really isn't dead. We've just put a negative connotation on that term, but really it's still a legitimate subject.

Anyways, definitely check it out, it's a powerful film. Oh, and Marissa Tomei is, well... you just have to see it.

I liked it, wouldn't consider it horror though.
