Internet Problems

As of late, my internet has been playing up. I recently had to have my computer sorted out by a man (who lives 2 doors down thank god!) because it had about 50 trojan viruses. Also, I got an external hardrive because my computer was running out of room.

The problem is, my computer regularly cuts out from the internet. It always does it when the phone rings (it's a new phone we bought. Same line as the old one and I'm on a wireless network) :confused:

It also does it randomly sometimes. I know it's happened because the little message appears saying I'm connected about once a minute and nothing on the internet works. Can anyone of you offer me some advice on what's wrong with it?

I'm reluctant to take it to the man who fixed it last time because, though he's reliable and trustworthy, it's nicer not to have to pay for what could be a simple problem.

Do you mean use our old phone?

We haven't tried that yet. The new phone is a corded one because my mum has become very concsious of health risks from cordless phones and wireless networks lately.

When the phone is put back down after the call, it usuallygoes back.

The phone also messes up my sister internet but not my dads. We're all on the same server.

Unfortunately I can't use the internet, maybe it's because I don't have a computer or maybe it's my illiteracy. I may never find out why...

Haha I just stared at that picture for a good minute wondering what muffin papers had to do with internet. Filters..duh. Way to go, Jen with your baking and housewifeyness. <---- so not a word.
