I'm pleased to say that after a night of rain and temperatures at 14Celcius (i don'k know what that is in amurcun) the snow is almost gone.

adios white shit - good riddance.


also - as i sit in my 15th floor weather tower, overlooking scenic Scarborough, the clouds are whipping past at an alarming rate. must be a hellofa wind up there. very odd to see them move so fast - it looks like time lapse photography.


in related news - i drove home from volleyball last night across northern back roads that were so foggy i couldnt see the road 3 feet in front of the car making for an extremely slow trip.

it didnt make me think of The Mist as much as it did The Lost Highway ... as i seemed to be going over the same ground for ever .. like i was caught in a twilight zone episode. very surreal and a bit spooky. (spooky in the - i'll hit anything on the road that steps out in front of me - kind of way)

made it home ok though - in time to join the family for another episode of Brisco County Jr.

Tomorrow we're expecting a high of 5 celcius.

watch out for the spring run off moms and dads. keep a watchful eye on the kiddies.

The Snow never sticks around here, it is always raining, so when it does snow it just melts on the wet ground...

And then it doesn't snow for more than half hour at a time anyway...

Now if I could just figure out a way to get rid of the rain???

the wind i was talking about :

i looked out in the afternoon to see emergency services vehicles on the overpass right outside my window .

a huge light post blew off of the overpass and landed on the highway below - miraculously landing between the east and westbound lanes .. right on the small strip of grass and barracade.

very high winds indeed.
