Ok, so I'm desperately trying to figure out the name of this film I saw years ago. I don't have too much information but here goes.

First of all I thought I'd solved this when I recently saw 'Society' but then realised that what I was remembering was a composite of two different films one being society. The film I am trying to remember was similar in several ways to Society, (Id say it was from the mid to late 80s, similar effects/style) and a lot of the film was set in this big house (mansion??) and it gets reaaaalllly weird and pretty visually disgusting if I remember corectly (I have this image of these sort of red floating stingray type creatures that were definately in it).

It may have involved the devil or a devil-like character and Im pretty sure that one of the characters gets frozen to death at one point but beyong these vague recollections I dont remember much more. Apologies for the lack of decent information to go on but if anyone has a clue what Im talking about let me know.

Aside from the totally dissimilar plots, Society was actually watchable:)

Is Society anything to write home about? I keep on almost getting it and getting distracted by other things.

It gives off a real Re-Animator/early-Cronenberg vibe...if you like that kind of stuff, you really should check it out.

Personally, I loved it. Really, really strange...but cool. Its on one of the HDC top 100 lists, if I recall correctly...;)
