okay, so i thought it might be fun to pick two great bad-ass characters, and see what we think would happen if they went head-to-head.
so here's the deal. i'll start off and pick two characters, then you post and tell what you think would happen if they fought, who would win, etc.
debating is encouraged!
then, whenever someone thinks of another good match-up, post it.
here we go. first one:

I think this really depends on the environment. If this happened in a place where Ripley had access to all the weapons she's familiar with then she has a shot but overall I'd have to say Ash though. It's hard to take a fictional character out of their environment since it's all hypothetical but it's sure to spark some good debates. Nice thread. :)

yeah, that's a good point.
i guess whoever's posting can factor the environment aspect into his/her argument.

I would have to say Ripley. Because her style is more logical than classic horror "slice em up," and in the big picture, that wins.

Hmm it would be a tough fight, thats for sure.
Ash is great for melee attacks and can kick anybody's ass on his day (heck just ask the demons, they ll vouch for it!), but Ripley has taken on the most fiercest creature on the movie screen, and beat the shit out of it 4 times.
Logically and technically, Ripley has a slight edge.

Ash would peobably woo her into bed for some sick reason, then get up in the middle of the night and put a shot gun to her head.

If we're talking about the new android ripley, i don't think that's very likely.

I don't know... Ripley is so incredibly amazing badass... But Ash is so incredibly resourceful. I think if it were the two of them in a room, Ash would have a leg up in regards to being creative and innovative in his ass kicking. But you give Ripley any weapon, and Ash is gone.

Jason would take ole' Letherface I think, simply because Jason's undead and Leatherface doesn't seem to have the speed to hack him into little pieces before being dispatched of.

Leatherface is mortal, thats going to make him hurt when Jason rips his head of with his decaying hands.
Jason also has his own theme music, but this could give him away....
