I just found Massify.com, and other creative people may want to check it out too. After Dark Films is currently holding a contest there called The Ghost in the Machine where people can pitch a movie idea. It seems like a respectable site. At the very least it is good for networking.

Well, voting hasn't started yet but I am in 2nd place for total views, within all of the pitches for the Ghosts in the Machine contest made so far. Voting opens March 5. The pitch I made was based upon my best short horror tale "Unearthed" but oddly enough, last year's 8 Films to Die For featured a film called (you guessed it) Unearthed. So I had to change the name of my pitch to "Evil Beneath the Soil". When my Dad read my tale about a year and a half ago, he said "that would make a great movie". I would certainly like to win the contest and find out...

OK, voting is open and if you want to lend me or another filmmaker within the competition a hand, here are some instructions. It only takes 3 minutes to register and vote:

OK here's the deal. Every year for the past three years After Dark Films puts
out eight horror films as part of their "8 Films to Die For" theatrical
releases. They play at select theaters, and you may have also seen them in the video rental stores. There is an online contest, and so far my movie pitch is in second place for views, and first place for comments left (out of 50+ pitches that qualified). Voting starts March 5th (Wednesday). I have a chance of winning. The winner of the popular vote gets their film made with a $1,000,000 budget, and they get credited as the writer and producer. I want to win this contest.

Here is how you can help me:
Go to www.massify.com and register. You can register and vote once per email address. If you have more than one email address and want to register and vote more than once, please feel welcome to do so.

After registering they send a confirmation email to you. You click on it, and
you are then fully registered.

Then go back to www.Massify.com. Click "Competitions" and search within the
Ghosts in the Machine contest. It may be the lower search button. My pitch is
called EVIL BENEATH THE SOIL by "Lisey's DEATH DREAMS author". The original
title was Unearthed but I had to change it because one of the 8 Films to Die For from 2007 was called (you guessed it), Unearthed.
