agreed, unfortunately.
although truthfully the show had great episodes beyond the 4th season. but yeah, the last two seasons were trash, increasingly so.

HOWEVER, a point of rejoicing for all of us x-files nerds. if you haven't yet read, they're making another movie. according to chris carter, the film is going to be like a feature-length stand-alone episode (which were the best ones).

i agree they did sorta run out of ideas but most tv shows go on a bit
past there sell by date im a bit confused as to the dates stated im sure i was
watching x files in the early 90 s but im not possitive GOOGLE TIME LOL:D

As a HUGE X-Files fan, I too lost interest right about where this "rapid decline" started. I still have no clue where or when this happened, maybe 1 or two seasons before T-1000 replaced Duchovny. Or maybe when Scully got a brain tumor, that dragged on and on and got pretty annoying. I remember a lot of episodes that were particularly bad, like the genie one, or zombie movie one. *cringes*

It was okay. It definitely deserved more attention than it got. I thought the crossover with the X-Files was pretty lame though.

ive been trying to get into milleniom its rerunning here in morning

its a bit hard to follow and his family life is realy week and tedios
his wife is like o im leaving you because of all the phycos coming round
our house because they got our address or phone number of you, i

I used to love the X files to the point of stupidity but I do agree the last few series went rapidly downhill although there were hidden gems such as Paper Hearts, Arcadia, Brand X, and Small Potatoes. Can't wait for the film. I wonder which direction they'll go with??

lol x-files took on a religious tone? anywho. that show started out great but just played it self out.way too many boring alien themes. every episode in the last season or so was about aliens. boring.
Fox: look scully lights in the sky.
scully: its a plane fox
