Was that the Poltergeist where the mom and dad were lying in bed and firing up a "J"? I think that was so cool and "70's" of them.

Great movie indeed. The first time I saw it I was wore out at the end. I felt like I had to get that little girl outta the TV.
Thats how a movie should make you feel.

The first Poltergeist is an excellent piece of film making, great story, acting, and effects, but to me, the second one really brings what the first lacked...true terror. I remember watching part 2 when I was a little kid, and having nightmares about Rev. Henry Kane, and also the tequila worm, vomit monster.
Tobe Hooper and Spielberg really laid the groundwork with the original, and somehow managed to make a PG movie scary, but number 2 delivered the goods.
I'd have to say that Poltergeist 2: The Other Side is probably in my top 5 favorite horror films of all time.

yeah the rev was realy scary i went for a train journey once here in england and there was a station master that looked just like him it was unreal i had to look twice at him to see if i was halucinating lol:p :p :p
hey i just thought should they make a movie backstorie to the time when the rev made them all die

It appears so, but luckily we have a seasoned veteran such as yourself in on it now. Your thoughts on either film? We can leave 3 out of it completely, IMO.

I actyally like part two more so than one, mainly because of the creepy old man. And no I don't wish they were my family, that would mean that I'm American or adopted, no thanks.

Tangina Barron, real name is Zelda Rubinstein. Actually, I just found out that's she's from Pittsburgh, which is about 20min right down the road from me. That's kind of odd.
