I think it's safe to say that this film is going to dominate.

The late Heath Ledger as the Joker, and Maggie Gyllenhaal replacing Katie Holmes. I'm freaking excited about it. Thoughts? Concerns?

I've been saying that this will be the film of 2008 looooong before Heath died.
Don't take this the wrong way, but him dying just upped the anticipation of this film by a THOUSAND. Heath's last on-screen performance.
I can't fucking wait.
And in a way, this movie truly belongs in the horror board, because The Joker is going to be fucking CREEPY. And knowing that the man playing him is dead while you're in the theater... the idea sends shivers down my spine.

I'm hoping it ends up with an R rating. I mean, I know it most likely won't, but it would be awesome. A really dark Batman movie with Joker? Not to mention on imdb it says that we might get to see him through the eyes of someone gassed by scarecrow, meaning he'll be even more demonic!

I don't know, Batman with an R rating seems to be pushing it a bit too far. I'm a lifelong fan, and of course I love the post-Miller Dark Knight version of Batman. But let's remember when we all got into the character. Speaking for myself, I was ten or eleven. So basically, if an R rated Batman film had come out then, I wouldn't even be allowed to see it! PG-13 seems fine for setting the proper tone the character needs without going overboard.

I had no doubts in my mind when this film was announced and when Ledger was attached that he was going to be amazing as Joker. I cannot wait to see this movie and I will be there for the Midnight screening.
R.I.P. Heath!
JOKER WILL LIVE ON!

Not gonna lie, wasn't too crazy on the idea of Heath playing the Joker, but after seeing the trailer when I saw I AM LEGEND when it was released, I'm pretty sure this is going to be the greatest film EVA!

Yeah this will be a great film. If Heath's performance is half of what it was in Brokeback Mountain this will be amazing
you miss speller EVER but then again .....

He looks like a less cartoon-y take on the joker, with his messed up hair and makeup and facial scarring. Word is that Jack Nicholson was pissed he wasn't offered the role again, but I mean, he played it once, did a great job, but now hes like 70 something. I mean come on man.

Heath Ledger was one of my fave actors; I was very saddened by his passing. Then a couple days after, I finally saw a peek of him as the Joker. It was just so creepy and yet so enthralling. I know this movie is going to be amazing, and am proud that it will be known as his last on screen performance.

Actually I think Gilliam is still using Ledger's footage that was shot for The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Hopefully you've heard of that movie, if not, it sounds amazing. Due to the magical quality of the tale Gilliam was able to have Ledger's character change and now the character that Heath once played alone will be played by four people.
Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp, Jude Jaw, and Colin Farrell

You know, I did know that, but had completely forgotten, as Ive heard nothing about the film in so long. And lets just say everyone on that list (except meh, Colin Farrell) is droolworthy in my book. lol

I'm already obsessed with this movie...been following the viral stuff right from the first I Believe in Harvey Dent page.
I think it's safe to say that this'll easily be one of the greatest action movies ever made.
Plus, The Joker is my hero, and it looks like Heath (RIP) knocked the role out of the park. Cannot Wait.

I can't possibly imagine how Nolan is going to follow this up. If the third entry is better than this will be... I will kill myself after the credits.

He can't. No movie can be that perfect without trigging the end of the world.
Besides...no Ledger Joker (and probably no Joker at all) - no matter how incredible the third movie is, thats what it'll always be lacking. R.I.P

I saw the trailer first when I went to see I AM Legend. The first Batman in this series is fantastic. What I remember from that trailer is how insane The Joker appeared, how malevolent he seemed just in those short clips. I was shocked to learn that it was Ledger. I have my fingers crossed that this flick will be great, also.
