does anyone see characters do things in horror movies that remind you of urself in a funny way?

like in cujo in the beginning when Tad is afraid of the dark so he positions himself to flip the lights off and get into bed as quickly as possible, that looks exactly like what i used to do as a kid after seeing a horror movie

and in NOES3, when the kids play Dungeons and Dragons (hobby, fantasy game with dice and paper) in the ward, and when that skinny bespectacled boy dreams he is a wizard and casts spells at freddy kruegar, i was laughing so hard coz i used to play Dungeons and Dragons a lot (im a nerd, i know). it was cool when freddy said 'i dont believe in fairy tales' although i wish freddy would have said something about dungeons and dragons lol that would have made my day.

What, like have bars spring up all around the guy, and say something like "youre in my dungeon now, bitch....and you're all outta hp..."???
As for movies reminding me of stuff Ive done....shit, im drawing a blank here....but I used to imitate the evil dead alot...."thankyou, I don't know what I would have done if you'd left me in the fire, burning my pretty flesh"
"I don't wanna die ash, I dont wanna die!!!"

i dunno if u were joking or not, but i would've loved if freddy said that :D
or he couldve just said 'ur in my dungeon now, and dragons are the last thing u should be worrying about'

Nah, no joke, just figured that'd be something he'd say....Freddy dialogue is pretty easy when ya think about it.
Gimme a situation, and I'll give u a line...

i cant think of any situation as weird as freddy talking about d&d. except if that kid was dreaming of playing d&d with his friend, and then his friend turns into freddy and rolls dice and says 'i cast fireball'

freddys lines in dream warriors were great in developing his evil image, really showed his cruel humour, like when he made fun of that crippled guy in a very cruel way, in his dreams.

apart from the first, the third was actually my favourite, followed by "freddys dead"...the rest of 'em where neither here or there for me...how bout u?

third was my favourite coz of the different characters and their different powers int heir dreams, and freddys mad-ass comments made it interesting 'wanna be on tv...nows your big chance, bitch!' (shoves her head into tv)....first is my second fave....a classic of horror with a lot of freddy running realluy fast after you and jumping out of nowhere!

ps i think i gotta go now, my bloody brother is bugging me to get off the computer coz i been using it all day :) cya 2morow dude

I dunno, r we talking about a young Fred Krueger in 9th grade prior to getting all burned up and coming back from the dead...I mean, I'd say you develop a pretty damn good sense of humour when THAT happens? As for prior, Id say he'd probably piss on the floor??
If it's post "burning" Freddy, I'd say he'd be doing that in somebody elses dream, in order to fuck with them, go up in front as a young 9th grade boy, looking all embarrassed and naked, the dreamer, let's say, a girl taken back in her dream to her early teen years, is feeling all sympathetic towards him, takes off her sweater for him, and as he puts it on, it morphs into the ol' green and red, and the young "boy" of course morphs into a fully clothed Freddy who would then say.....
"Dare to care, so kind you share...Allow me to reciprocate" at which point he'd duplicate his own sweater, which he'd put on her, it'd tighten and tighten and tighten, and when she's on the verge of total eyeball popping asphyxiation, he'd say
"I'm so glad you and I are.....tight" end of dream, end of life....
Judgement, people?

Didn't young Freddy do something fucked up in class in Freddy's Dead? Like kill the class hamster or rabbit or something?

I was a D&D junkie anyone who says it was for nerds didnt have much of an imagination and probably was mad cause they didnt know how to play, I know when we played we would get very graphic in melee and it made it a lot of fun.

Never got much into d&d myself....the main reason being, I wanted to start with the first edition, and nobody has it anymore!!!

Creeper, do you ever watch Homestarrunner? If so, there is a funny strong bad e-mail about video games and he makes some pretty good jokes about role-playing. You just reminded me of it.

I dunno why, but creeper, u also made me think of the scene in "airheads" where the big bearded bikerdude said something like
"I played d&d"...

i played quest for glory 1(remake) it is my fave game of all time!

i played no.4 and nearly finished it, finished number 5

number 1 was the best, the puzzles are so different for the different classes, and the combat engine was cool....lol i liked to play a fighter with thief abilities, u could rob ppl in town and still have the sword and shield

Very interesting. The D&D scene in NOES3 reminds me of a game I have played called .hack.
