Maybe I missed it - I just kinda skimmed through the article - are David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson in it?

This could be a good idea, I would definitely watch it. I kind of lost interest in the show, but I was one of those that was a fan of the stand-alone episodes.

When i saw the trailer, i could not have been less interested. the final episode pissed me off, and i cant imagine the new movie will be any diferent. They refuse to answer any questions, they just make new ones, and it ends up being deeply unsatisfying.

I won't rush to see it like I did with The Dark Knight, but I'll definitely see it.

I'm ready to see more x-files. I wouldn't expect any resolution from this film nor the series. The whole point is the unknown, and if all of a sudden little space creatures came out (or something like that) it would almost certainly come off really cheesey.

I doubt it...I probably won't even see it in the theater, unless it gets good reviews, which it won't.

chris carter promised for years that there would be resolution and questions answered in the FIRST movie and it didnt explain a fucking thing.

So people keep saying that you dont need to be well-versed in X-Files lore to enjoy this movie...any truth to that?
If I go to see this one having only watched about half of the first season, will I be lost / will it spoil parts of the series for me?
