It was snowing here too, oddly enough. It hasn't snowed here in 5 years. But now, alas, it has turned from snow, into ice.
I hate Georgia.
The older I get the more I loathe the white devil called snow.
although it is pretty

Down here in Georgia, we don't get the fluffy white stuff. Our snow is more like hard, chunky ice pellets. Getting hit with a Georgia snowball, feels like getting hit with a paintball, haha. Where I live, we're lucky to get 2 inches of snow that would last maybe, 6 hours the next day.
I want to move up north where the snow is actually snow. The roads here have frozen over already, so I don't think anywhere in town will be open, and it's a high possibility of an ice storm...Which I'm not looking forward to. Falling and exploding trees and transformer boxes.
Up there, ya'll still have to work if it snows, correct?

I still enjoy it. I like to eat it and make snow cream. But that's how I grew up. :p

It depends on how much snow we get and whom you work for.

An inch of snow here, pretty much shuts everything down.

i'm in central indiana and we've gotten some decent snow here and there since december, but it usually melts completely within a few days. looks like it's going to be pretty crazy tonight and tomorrow, though.

Here in the UK we've been getting very little snow lately. Last time it snowed on Christmas eve in my town was about four years ago, and it hasn't snowed since Jan 2007

I'll trade your very little snow for my constant snow from December to mid February. We did have a nice warm spell for about a day but then right back to ice and snow.

I try to enjoy weather if possible. Many people hate rain, but it puts me in a really good mood. When rain falls, I am happy as a little clam.

cumulatively, i think we have had in excess of 4 feet so far this winter. :) I cant remember the last time we had so much snow, especially the last time we had snow before christmas

I never understood that saying....why would a clam be happy....really.....they have a very short life, live at the bottom of the ocean....they can't even swim....just kind of move around. Or they get snatched up, boiled, dipped in butter and eaten.
I don't get it

we'e allready gotten about 6 feet of snow, and I freaking love it, I've always loved snow. And we had a White Christmas this year, which im freakin glad about, because last year we didn't, and it was a very depressing christmas for other reasons that I don't feel like explaining at the moment. I say keep it coming, and also, I live in Upstate New York, so we get lots of snow here. Also, we normally get storms where overnight we get between 3-5 feet of snow. And everything get shut down. Its freaking crazy. Literally one day last year, while I was living in my old apartment, I went to bed, and there wasn't even any of the old frozen snow from another storm, and I hardly watch the news so I didn't know anything about the snowstorm that was coming, and I wake up and BAM 3 1/2 feet of snow, with icy dangerous roads. So I got to stay home and play Halo2, it was freakin sweet.

We live pretty close. Buffalo area is always really bad because of the lake effect weather. I live in a Port with a canal and such so we get a ton of lake effect snow too.

I know exactly what your talking about, one spring when i as young me and my family went to Buffalo and there was not a single bit of snow on the ground, and then the next day it was like a blizzard.

Do you even expect an answer to that? I mean cmon... think about it... ferrets aren't that stupid are they?

Do you mean in the canal? Cause I know you too well to think you'd ask a stupid question like "does water freeze?"....welllllll maybe you'd ask. So just in case.... Yes water freezes Dear. The water in the canal freezes but boats go through it every day so it doesn't stay that way. The beaches freeze though and the recreational canal in the next town over freezes solid enough that people can ice fish. Any other questions Ferret Deary? *pinches cheeks*
