As I can't get the search button to function and I walked through some sites with topics in this section; I post this thread. Arrest me if I'm not doing this right.

For about a year I found out that, listening to audio books is even more scary than watching films and reading books. This is especially true to the souped-up audio books which doesn't only have one reader. In fact they read their own scripts written on the basis of what's in the book. Lying in your bed, or sitting in your chair with little lights and closed eyes, makes for a damn scary situation.
I only wish there where more of these audio books and less films, because the audio books are supperior
So are there any fans of this medium here, and what are your recommendations? My favorites this far is by a Norwegian author named Andrč Bjerke, so there is most possibly no English version of the audio books. They are actually crime novels, but I find them crazy horrifying.

Yeah audio books are the shit. I had a few Stephen King tapes, including a dramatized version of "The Mist", with different actors, sound effects, etc. Really spooky, because your mind provides much of the imagery. Makes me sort of wish for the old days when they played horror stories over the radio.

I have Stephen King - Pet Cemetery, pretty decent. Too bad it doesn't look like there are more fans around here.
