Saw 5? I'm so sick of these. The first one was great, they should have left it there.
No, I don't care how gory and fun 2 and 3 were to you... The first was psychological with a side of carnage candy and a twist, and it was awesome. 2 and 3 turned into cheap slasher thrills.

@Austin
My thoughts exactly. Not to mention there are only a few decent sounding films coming out in '08.

Then don't quote me ;)
Note: I enjoyed Saw 2,3 for what they were, but I think the first should have been left alone, along with tons of other films of course..

It's true, it should have. But I'd rather see another sequel to SaW than another Friday The 13th sequel personally.
And in a way, I think it's kind of good to have a slasher villain with multiple sequels for the up and coming generation. Sure, the old ones were the best, but they don't go with todays problems so much.

That I can agree with. It just pisses me off that they're gonna run SaW into the ground.... again... and again.

As much as I hate sequels, and I did enjoy the original SaW, I do believe that if they hadn't made a sequel, everyone would have wondered what it would have been like, and the company would have been pestered into making it anyway.
I do find it funny that no one ever mentions the REAL original film. The short one.

Except for Silent Hill 2 2008 looks like a slow horror year. 2009 already looks much, much better..

True. One was an amazing psychological thriller that was like nothing I'd ever seen before. 2 and 3 changed that and though I haven't seen 4, from what I've heard it is just the same. They're basing it too much on the shock pain factor now. They're still good films but they're not, to me, saw. But it is nice to have a modern series of horror films. It's been a while since we've had a succesful one of those.

That list has both my apathy and my ambivalence. Yawn. Unless Grizzly Park is about actual grizzlies.

Agreed. But only as long as Tony Jaa is going to be playing the lead, if not I probably won't like it as much.(The poster kinda looks like its him but it doesn't at the same time. That and I don't think thats a Muay Thai stance.)
After recent news, I suspect that The Dark Knight is going to set records in the box office.

I must say I'm anxious to see how Lost Boys 2 will be. I mean, in the original it had that cool 80's punk atmosphere... I think it will be hard to make something like that nowadays and will be even harder to find a better soundtrack than the original. People Are Strange and Cry Little Sister...

Yea, and if you didn't know any better you would believe their lies. VERY very similar to Ong-bak. Actually, now when i think about it, in some countries it HAS got the title "Ong-bak 2". Probably in France. ;)
