Hated it. It owed alot to Moontrap, an 80's Bruce Campbell/Walter Koenig film. It totally stole its plot device.

Well, let's just say it's not as original as they'd like us to believe. A little plot summary for Moontrap:

Bruce and Walter are two astronauts who bring back and pod they find in outer space. Turns out this pod is an "extraterristial war robot, which is able to recycle any biological or technical material for its own deadly use." So it uses pieces of machines as well as man to make other robots and shit, just like in Virus.

ahh i see. Ya that is a little dirived i think. Did you ever see the comics for virus??? they came out along time before virus did but i still think they came out after Moontrap, so the whole idea could be very derived.

Were they Dark Horse comics? I too doubt they came out before Moontrap. That came out in '89.

cool movie

when i read the plot i thought it would suck, but i watched it anyway, as a good moviefanatic would do

and i enjoyed it, it has some cool parts in it, and it's pretty well build up for such a movie

I do have to say that Underworld did the majority of their effects the practical way I do salute them for trying. The director said he told the studio that he wanted to use minimal CG because guys in suits look better onscreen. Can't argue with that.

it was ok, but not that good...the machine/human hybrids were a bit too disgusting, and the plot wasnt that satisfying. i sat through and watched it, so its not a total flop.
