Has anyone seen the original five-hour The Kingdom that the new ABC King movie is based on? It was a Scandanavian mini-series done by arthouse director Lars Von Trier, and I think it's brilliant. It's a Gothic ghost story that takes plave inside a haunted hospital. I hope the new ones is just half as good as the original. The original even had Udo Kier as the old Gothic patriarch who gets all the bad stuff started to begin with.

Doesn't it always start with Udo?

To quote Udo from Warhol's Frankenstein:
"I must make de pwepewations for de operwations!"

Udo's been in more vampire movies than anyone (except maybe Lee...maybe). He's got a new one coming out called Dracula 3000. It takes place in space and stars Coolio and Caspar Van Dien as Van Helsing. How's that for a cult-movie in the making?

Caspar's jaw is squarer than Larry King, but I still like the guy. I'm up for anything with Udo. He even had quite the leading-man look back in his Mark Of The Devil Days.
