If there is a thread for this already, then I'm sorry. I couldn't find any, so I expected there isn't. This movie is still in talks, but we all know it's going to happen. The only question is, will Raimi return to direct, and will the stars return as well? If Kirsten Dunst doesn't return, I don't care. I always thought she was a bad choice to play Mary Jane, and I thought she was unbearable in Spider-man 3. And her interviews on the film had me rolling on the floor laughing. "They made another one and another one...". Welcome to Hollwood, bitch. If a movie makes money, there's going to be another one. Deal with it. I'd be saddened to see Tobey Maguire leave, since I think he's been doing a tremondous job as Peter Parker/Spider-man. And I don't think Jake Gyleenhall would make a good choice. As for James Franco, he probably won't return because they killed him off (or so they have us believing). Too bad, because I think Franco is a talented actor. Going back to Dunst, if she doens't return, then don't recast her. Just focus on Gwen Stacy. I mean, you had to have brought her into the fourth one for a reason. If Raimi leaves, then we're most likely fucked.

But, what I want to know is who the next villian(s) is going to be. There have been talks about both Lizard and Carnage. I strongly urge Lizard, because he's a visual treat. And, once again, they've had Dr. Curt Connors in all three of the films for a reason, right? As for Carnage, I'm opting no. I like the character a lot, but we just had Venom. And if we get Carnage, I bet you Raimi won't the direct the film since he didn't like the character of Venom much. If there has to be a second villian, go with Vulture. He was a big foe for Spider-man in the early ages, and he deserves to be in the film (and he was talked about for the second film, as was Lizard).
